Removed tonneau cover just in case and was also told my priority changed to a 2

Just called my dealer to ask if they knew anything about the tonneau cover holding up the build. They said they haven’t heard anything either way. I removed it just in case and was also told my priority changed to a 2. Fingers crossed for that email Thursday.

Update: Talked to my dealer and I am already at Priority 2 with the tonneau so I didn't drop it. If I did my priority would drop back to 9. Maybe I'm just near the front of the line when they become available. Time will tell.

I just got the same email from my dealer telling me that I was moved to 02 priority code WITH my tonneau cover. I had requested to drop it to get scheduled.
Here's to hoping we get that golden scheduled email Thursday!

Keeping the tonneau on may still stop you from being selected for production.

I had the "splash guards" and "drop-in bedliner" on my order and was at 2. At the time I was trying to remove them and my dealer said he could not make changes because I was at 2. I did not get selected and my priority went back to 10. So then I did get those items removed and the next week I again went to 2 but this time I was selected for production.

It's possible. Changing your code is up to the dealer and they have their own internal process of doing it

If I drop the tonneau from order, will I later be able to buy from Parts Dept at same price? Usually these options cost more thru the Parts Dept

I ordered the XLT, Hybrid, Luxury package on 8/26. The only option my dealer had to remove was the mud flaps. He did this the day of my order. I really don't think I'm going to see this thing until spring or early summer, so I'm not removing anything else, unless my sales guy recommends it.

I called and added the 360 a few days ago, but haven't been advised about anything else. I'm going to try and not be a pest with my Ford dealer, but do hope they keep me updated. It sounds like like some dealers and sales people aren't totally clear on this retail order process.

My dealer hasn't told me my Priority Code, but tells me my order is "locked" when I asked about removing hard roll-up and splash guards to be Dealer installed... says only 2 AWD's are ahead of me in their allotment, and I'm head of their FWD class... hope that means an email soon...
