I just wanted to let people know who are considering making a change to their 2023 order that contrary to the general assumption that modifying your order will not impact the priority of your build, In fact it may. I ordered my 2023 early and was lucky to get a priority code 10 . I'm not a 2022 roll over order. I returned to my dealer today to eliminate the soft bed cover in the hope of streamlining my order. I was told the change would not impact the process. My new order sheet showed a priority code 11. Not sure if that really changes anything, but it's curious, and I figured I'd share the info.

Dealer can change it back to 10 for you. I don't think its something thats done on purpose, system probably assigns a random number between 10-19. When it changes to below 10 is when Ford is looking at your build.

10 was probably a mistake. And no the number is not random.

Dealers can change the priority code to anything between 10 and 19 for any reason at any time they want.

Why do you think it was probably a mistake? The majority of dealers do not have rollovers, so they can set it at 10 or 19 or anything in between for any reason they want.

Because they changed it to 11, why else would they change it. If it wasn’t a mistake they would have left at 10. Unless they are just penalizing him for changing the order.

You said "10 was probably a mistake". Could just as easily be changing it to 11 was the mistake, which could be just a different salesperson who didn't know or some innocuous reason. And again, at most dealerships it is unlikely to make any difference.
