I was just going by a January 4th article posted on Ford Authority still referring to it as "Ford backed."

Source? Can't find anything more recent than May 2022 where Ford sold only ~15 (~8 then another ~7) million of 102 million shares.

Yep, after loosing $5.4B on Rivian in April Ford started unloading stock. They're under 10% now.
I think it's biggest stock holder is T Rowe Price with over 15%

I'll take a Rivian over the Maverick in my driveway any day. I think the designers blew that design out of the water, whereas the best that can be said about the Maverick is "bland and inoffensive".
