Or, Ford is expected to sell off 7.8% of their stake in Rivian leaving Ford with 92.2% of their initial investment.

Seems like a terrible time to sell Rivian... unless they think its going under and just want a large stake to take their tech when that happens.

It’ll be a nice little $220ish million cash infusion. They will still own roughly 95 million shares.

Cash infusion + realized losses. I don't really think they ever cared how much they make on realized gains/losses from this investment
