That's only for promo rates. 2023 didn't have any promo rates so you're stuck with market rates at delivery.
Ford did have a "lock your rate" promotion, but the Maverick was excluded.
This isn't true in all cases, I ordered my Mav in January 2022, and I have a locked in rate at a killer 0% for 36 month I think. Some rollovers might be in the same situation.

If your truck is a 2022, then the incentive rate lock-in is still valid. If your truck got pushed to 2023, the incentive rate doesn't apply.

Yep. It adds up.

($687.73 - $661.30) == $26.43/mo

$26.43/mo * 12 mo/yr == $317.16 more interest per year
$26.43/mo * 12 mo/yr * 4 yr == $1,268.64 more interest over four years
People who think that "a few percentage points don't matter" don't understand the concept of compound interest.

Interesting, I'll keep an eye out to see if it changes for me. As of now there is still a code in my file for rate lock and my dealer seems to be honoring that... at least at the moment.

Finance folks always try to get you to focus on the payment. The "Payment" should never be the focus. $10 a month for 60 months needs to be thought of as $600.00. I remember some loser finance guy trying to belittle me, telling me "it's just another $10 a month...you can't afford that?" I responded that we were $600 apart on the deal, not a lousy $10.

And some people don't understand the difference between compound interest and simple interest which most auto loans are.

The Ford calculator uses rates available from them. Then you have a starting point. Agree you way is quicker after you know what is available.

Yeah, let us know. I had 1.9% for 60 for the 22 that was canceled, but pretty sure it won't be there when I go to pick up the 23.

Right now the best rates for excellent credit at my local Credit Union are 5.49% for 36 months, 5.74% for 48 months, 5.99% for 66 months, 6.24% for 78 months, and 7.5% for 84 months. Personnaly I think anything longer than 5 years or so is nuts on a cheap truck. Probably better to scrape up a bigger down payment and take the shorter term.

I picked mine up yesterday and the 22 finance rate does not apply to the 23 rollovers. I went with my credit union. They were 5% and Ford could not beat this.

Any chance a promo rate pops up early February? I know other auto makers have them floating around... Here's to hoping.

Thank you for this discussion, everyone. This got the brain juices flowing. I still have several months (*fights back tears*) but I've been poking around today and it seems I can get a decent rate with USAA. I might go that route. Fortunately, I can get that approved via their app within a few minutes.

Ford currently has no special incentives for a Maverick unless you are a roll over and have one to your specific name.

As far as rates.. same as above.. figure it out prior and see the dealers options. Rock solid credit I have seen rates in the mid 5s for 60. The smaller banks and credit unions I have seen in the 4.99 range ±.25

My credit union was giving me 5.75. I told the dealership they had to beat my credit union in order for me to get finance with them. They asked what it was and I didn't tell them. I wanted for them to give me their best offer. I got 3.9 from Ford credit. I was happy with that
