Morning Mavericks ! Hope you all have a great weekend. I was just reading on the "Ford Authority" site today, all the details on the 2023 Maverick offerings, models, specs, differences from 2022 , etc. One that stuck out was that the 2.0 Ecoboost engine ( which I have on my 2022 XL) is only offered on XLT and Lariat trims ???? Is this true ? If so, thank God I have a 2022 model ! If true, that's BS . One last comment, why didn't they make power mirrors an option on the XL ??? I can monitor my foot on the gas pedal, don't need cruise control, that's easy. But having to manually move the mirrors........just saying. Not a huge deal, I'm the main person driving it 😆. But no Ecoboost on the 2023 XL ?????

Ford Authority is now a shit show. They used to be a pretty reliable information source but now they're just click-bait garbage.

And the EcoBoost is DEFINITELY available on the XL.

The only powertrain restrictions are:

AWD is 2.0L EB only (2022-2023)
Lariat 2.0L EB is AWD only (2023)

IOW:

XL
Hybrid FWD
EB FWD
EB AWD

XLT
Hybrid FWD
EB FWD
EB AWD

Lariat
Hybrid FWD
EB FWD (2022 ONLY)
EB AWD

Roughly 2:1 ratio of 2.0L EB Mavericks built to hybrids (twice as many EB; 2/3 are EB)

22 XL got power mirrors with copilot option since they had to run power to the mirrors for Blindspot monitoring. Definitely worth the upgrade.

I see . My " cheapness" must have prevented me from that add-on 😆
