I have no hope of getting a Maverick. I ordered a Lariat with Lux, but removed the bedliner and bed cover. I picked the dealer as they are huge in Atlanta and don't add $$$$. But it looks like they only do big $$ Fords. Found out a couple weeks ago they haven't sold many of them. So, I expect they are not getting any allocations. Which means I'm screwed. The dealer is Jim Ellis Ford. I am calling them out as I wasn't told any of this when I contacted them 3 months before Sept 15th.

Sad that people are subjected to this kind of stuff. Not fully blaming the dealer. Ford owns most of this.

I waited a year for my order, some have waited far longer than that, you will need to be patient or pay over msrp unless you just luck up on a deal somewhere.

Don't let the actions of a multi-billion dollar corporation dictate your happiness. If you get it, great! If you don't, then it is what it is. Other companies make trucks and while this might be what you are looking for, it isn't the only option.

If you have followed the news since they opened the order banks in September, you know Ford actually hasn't scheduled many 2023s yet. So, there is still the entire model year of production to go.

452 days since original order, as of today, January 3rd. I do however have a production date of January 10th. When buying a Maverick, you need to be patient. There are of course many out there in Maverick Land that are "Lucky Ducks" and have received their Mavericks in a relative short time. Can't answer why and how that happens. Most buyers are on the long waiting list.

I'm willing to wait. I've been following the drama via this forum since Jan 2022 when I decided I wanted a Maverick. I was aware and tracked every change. The issue is I don't think the dealer I picked is getting any allocations. They basically said they haven't sold any Mavericks. See the pic.

This is me just complaining I was stupid and picked the wrong dealer.

Be patient dude - My son and I ordered January of 22 , I ordered a strip ecoboost XL he ordered an ecoboost XLT -FX4- My XL was one of the last 22s built and I didn't receive it till December of 22. My son's XLT didn't make it and rolled over to a 2023 which is still unscheduled. I ordered from a tiny dealer where I live, they had only sold 1 Maverick.I don't think allocation matters much on a special order. I think allocation plays in more on what they receive for dealer inventory, but I could be wrong. If it's a special order for you it will get built, if it's a hybrid your going to wait longer or consider modifying the order to gas engine.

I think the mentality of a Maverick customer should be that of the soldiers from the series, "Band of Brothers." There is a quote from the show that basically says, as soon as you accept that you are already dead, you can properly function as a soldier.

You can function normally as soon as you accept that you won't get a Maverick.

Kind of feels like you're being unreasonably snarky with the dealer unless they made an error (e.g. submitted your order late).

Thefordguy, not Tim personally but his assistant would not tell me what their allocations are. I have no way to

thefordguy’s assistant would not share with me what their allotment is. I have no way of predicting the probability of getting my hybrid.

I waited just over a year. It was worth the wait; the truck is perfect for our needs. Key is just stop thinking about it every day. When it happens, it happens -- realistically you can't change much. And I hate to say it, but that text probably didn't do you any favors... it's hard to read a person's tone via text and I can say that if I got something like that from one of my clients it would immediately push their job to my "ok, I'll get to that when I feel like it" pile. My unsolicited advice: give the dealer a call, be friendly and contrite, and ask him pleasantly how things are looking. Assure him that you're trying not to be a pest. Be friendly, accept what he has to say, thank him, and leave it at that.

I think you are being unreasonable to be honest. If my dealer had sold only a few Mavericks I would be happy assuming I was high on the list. What makes you think you will not get yours built? You also don't mention if that is hybrid or ECOboost. If ECO I would think you almost guaranteed to get built as Ford is over capacity on that engine.

You "expect" they are not getting any allocations? That seems a rather thin limb to be hanging your conclusion on. You don't know that. The only thing that matters is the relationship between the number of orders they took and how many allocations they will get. Neither of which you know.

You are "calling them out" because they didn't share their sales numbers with you? LOL. You went in and asked to order a truck and they took the order. What on earth did you expect?

- note that removing the bedliner might actually hurt at this point because Ford has extra capacity there and is even offering it at a discount to encourage adding it. You might ask the dealer about the discounted spray in bed liner / cargo management package Ford is offering.

Ever heard of a book called "How to win friends and influence people"?
