More than one recall a week on average, and more than Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla (!) Combined. Posted for your amusement without further comment:*

*Can't help but comment. I have had my mav for 9 months and, generally speaking, love it... But having owned Ford previously, I knew going in that it was gonna be a potentially rocky road, quality wise.
Agree, to this sucks. Especially after learning that they're last in this category.

All that said, my last vehicle was a Ford. They did me right with all the recalls and it was overall a good car. That's part of the reason that I came back.

I have been driving new Fords since I bought my 1984 T Bird. No serious issues with any of them.

My 2016 F150 had a couple of recalls for amazingly small things. One was that the seatbelt retractor might catch on fire! Complete bull crap. I think the NTSB has it in for Ford.

I don't generally pay any attention to recalls as a measure of reliability, unless they tell you not to drive your car or park it in your garage. I don't pay attention to Consumer Reports opinions about reliability.

They are a reliability concern, to a certain degree in that if my truck at the dealership, I ain't driving it.

Yeah, my Chevy had a recall for the seat belt electrical connector under the front seat. Took them 10 minutes and they vacuumed and washed it. Wish I had more recalls.

I've been to two dealerships for multiple issues 15 times since April. Not one issue has been fixed. My warranty is useless.

Ford build quality is dogshit.

This is my 1st Ford product (ever).... I'm very happy with it. My dealer has been exceptional in addressing the couple of very minor issues I've had. My Mav, the build quality has been very good... really the only thing I have not been happy with was the scratchablility of the plastics. But for the fact its such a low price point, its not a a big complaint. That and its a truck.

Some people seem to have lots of issues though... I wonder if its a particular shift thats not doing such a good job on assembly?

15? How many of those are actually warranty issues instead of nit-picking stuff that bugs you and you think they should cover?

I'll let you decide.

1. Auto start stop works 3-4 times a month. Went a month without working.

2. Center screen on the gauge cluster doesn't come on in colder weather. Anything under 40.

3. Steering wheel vibrations

4. Windshield rattle/pop/squeak

5. Vibration on the front speaker against the plastic.

None of these issues have been addressed.

2-3 of my visits I was turned away at the dealer because they had no one to work on it, even after I made an appt. They couldn't be moved to pick up the phone and tell me.

The ownership experience so far has been abysmal.

Oh, and on top of that, the windshield rattle was diagnosed as "having rocks on your skid plate" by one of the dealers who had my vehicle for 10 days. They told me Ford couldn't pick up the tab on the rental I had. Spoiler: it's not the skid plate. $200 down the drain and straight up fraud.

Having been more of a Honda and Toyota guy I am equal parts excited and terrified about my Mav that is set to arrive any day. I guess I can sell it in a bit if things look rough… but I’d love for them to address these quality issues, as their CEO has acknowledged.
