I was at UW Medicine Surgical Pavilion on Wed, had about 2.5 hours to kill, shoot. Not seen one in the wild yet. Nice truck!
I'll probably drive in again this coming Friday if you are around campus again. :)

Anyone here in the region with MY23 orders from September received their build schedule confirmation from FoMoCo yet?
Got my production schedule email in early November with a production week of 19 Dec. It was built on 15 Dec with Jan 5-11 delivery. XLT eco 4K 360.

So with the crazy weather we’ve just had, i was wondering if anyone had tales to tell with their Mavs. I had to work Friday and after fighting a thick sheet of ice off my windshield, i decided to watch the AWD system do its thing. It was cool, no swaying on the icy roads and highways. The Mav is one tough cookie 😍

I stayed put yesterday. We had a solid inch of ice on everything. I was afraid someone would lose it and slam into my Maverick. I did everything I needed on Thursday since the ice storm was predicted. Now it's all melted and 50°F!

Went to run errands on Wednesday and Thursday. Driving in snow and ice no problem as long as I had it on Slippery mode. That definitely helps.
BTW, I'm in Bellingham (Sudden Valley). For those familiar with it, you all know how steep our streets are and have snow drifts in the middle of our streets. Drive safe everyone and Merry Christmas.

I'm in Brier, which seems to always be the twilight zone of horrible street conditions when compared to any adjoining city. As soon as you enter city limits, it is horrible. If you can make it out of city limits, you breathe a sigh of relief and can worry less about sliding into a ditch. Maverick performed well when using slippery mode. Definitely can feel the difference in gearing and throttle/braking response if you switch modes mid-drive. Feels like I am driving a tracked vehicle instead of one with wheels.

We had about 9" inches a couple of weeks ago. I tried to go down our drive, 220' at 30°. About a third of the way down, I started sliding, absolutely no stopping? Luckily, it went straight, and stopped before the bottom. Pretty scary with a new truck, trees lining drive as well as a drop-off on one side. Got back up using traction control and mud/ruts mode, no problem. Scariest part was I was going down to meet Fed-Ex guy who couldn't come up drive. He was parked on road, right across the bottom of our drive. I thought I was going to slide right into his truck broadside, but managed to stop at bottom of drive. After that, I figured out how to use the Hill-Climb Descent button. Next time down, I took foot off gas and break and the truck went down at about 3 mph without any sliding.

Finally got off my butt and switched out my tires and rims. Was able to use a cheap Amazon "relearn" TPMS tool combined with the "turn the key and pump the brakes in a specific pattern" method to get the Maverick to locate and accept the new pressure monitors. The first three identified/linked easily. The LAST tire (rear drivers side) took a bunch of tries with the tool. I was going to be pretty pissed if the last tire I mounted had a bad TPMS sensor and needed to be unmounted from the rim. But it worked eventually. Haven't cleaned them since the tire center mounted them for me a few months ago, so there is dried white goop from the lube they used. I'll give them a good wash sometime. Also need to figure out what to do about the ugly center bore/hubs......the stock caps don't fit on these new lugnuts. Could just spray paint the center bore black or something I guess. Haha. Super classy.

Oh dear! Somebody rolled a brand new Mav? Wow, that must have backed traffic up for miles on a Friday afternoon. Very sad.

I took the 2015 RAV4 out in the snow and ice the other day because repair parts are available for it but not for the Mav. Nothing happened and I'm glad it didn't.

And just to stay on topic, I put four door sill guards on the truck a few minutes ago. Easy install. We'll how they look in six months.
