Sorry for the late reply.

Where did you adjust the sensitivity to? I set mine mid-point and only made one small adjustment after.

And no on the Fordpass notices, I lost the security alert icon and function on an update and have not gotten it back. Really don't want to dump the app and reload.......but may be what I will have to do

@LC48 thanks for your assistance!

I installed the alarm / LED today, IT WORKS :D

A couple of notes:
1) Must use the lock-unlock-lock on remote, not the 2X Ooops, user error, it works.
2) LED installed to the lower left of steering column 9/32 bit
3) Appears to be plastic vent under steering column. I purchased a piece of 4 X 2 velcro from Lowes and secured it to vent. I can still reach the sensitivity knob but can easily remove as needed. Not to mention I was too lazy to cable tie the module, that could get ugly.

Thanks again, Bill!

All I know is what the owners manual has -

Very smart to have the alarm go off if the vehicle is lifted up. Might save some exhaust parts.

I have received the Perimeter sensor and wired LED, and am awaiting my XLT Hybrid now scheduled to be built on Friday 13!
Can anyone who has used the instructions in this thread please confirm that they have been able to get this part functioning both as a perimeter security alarm and a remote starter on a XLT? Thanks.

My XLT alarmed when I opened the door with the metal key instead of the key fob. Ok fine.

My XLT does NOT alarm when I open the tailgate with the metal key.

Weird? Or normal?

Do other trucks include their tailgate in the perimeter alarm?

Looks like even an F-150 Lariat doesn't have a switch on the tailgate to determine when it's open/closed, which would likely be needed for the perimeter alarm to function.
