That's a good idea. Or even something less conspicuous like a thumbprint/fingerprint reader or something. Could even be built into the Ford blue oval that contains the backup camera.

What? You can't just reach over the sides to get what you want in or out? That was 1 of the selling features of the Maverick- low bed height for access for most people.

I know you can add them if you didnt have one, I assume you could add another and program it with the same code. See this:

that's my assumption. you have 2 keyfobs and 1 factory keypad, imagine you can add another keypad and use same codes. You may want to verify that with your dealer before purchasing.

Its still going to unlock your cab with the additional key pad. You're still going to have to walk up to your cab to lock it. At that point just use your factory keypad, enter your code, hit 4 after you punch in your code and it will unlock all your doors and tailgate. I mean its another 8 feet to walk from your tailgate to driverside door?

The keypads can lock the vehicle too. So you literally just walk up to the tailgate, get your stuff out, and lock it back from there. I could see why that's useful, especially when you got your hands full.
