There are several things that feed into it. Rollover orders, priority code, allocations etc. I don't believe that trim has anything to do with scheduling selection. However, going off of the fact that Ford sold all Maverick orders in such a short amount of time and will be producing through the year, I would say that patience will be your biggest ally

Dealer allocation will be your biggest factor as to when you get built.

The dealer allocation is also a function of regional allocations. I live in Orange County CA and ordered a 2nd Maverick on SEP-19-2022. It is a XLT EB AWD with Black Appearance Package, CP360, and Tow Package. It is in production already because a large number of allocations go to southern California and my dealer is getting a large number of allocations since they play by Ford's rules.

I ordered a 2022 XL Hybrid on SEP-11-2021 and took delivery on AUG-13-2022. I sold the XL Hybrid when I ordered the 2023 XLT EB AWD and thought I would have to wait nearly a year again. Imagine my surprise when I found out it went into production last week and should be built this week.

I believe the XL trim is the least produced trim this year, something like 15% of production for the year were slated for XL trim. So there’s that.

You may want to consider bumping up to an XLT to improve your chances and get you dealer to change you from a 15 to a 10. But at the end of the day, dealer allocations and constrained items will drag you out for a long and frustrated waiting period. But living in Florida is a positive (FL, TX & CA) enjoy a better supply ratio than other states.

When it comes to the AWD, Ford will likely always start with the Lariat as they cannot schedule any EB Lariats without the AWD. They just aren't going to leave the rest of the Lariat parts sitting in the warehouse to build a basic XL AWD.

Just like the standalone hitch, one-off add-ons will be a lower priority than anything that is included in a package because Ford has to sell the package as a complete whole and needs that one part included.

XL is over build capacity. Change your order to an XLT, it might help.

I think the light bulb came on at Ford during MY22, they lost alot of revenue opportunities with the XL, hence the low production percentage in MY23. Bump them up to higher trims to improve bottom line, IMO
