If it doesn't list the hotspot removal "feature" under Optional Equipment/Other, then it should have the feature installed. Otherwise, it does not have it.

It does have FordPass Connect, but no hotspot.
my window sticker ( 2023 ) actually reads " can connect up to 10 devices "

Again, the hotspot is included unless your window sticker has the highlighted line and the $20 credit.

thank you for helping me understand. I just remember 4 months ago or so there was a big hullabaloo about Ford dropping the hot spot or modems and when I noticed it was kinda confused once again thank you very much

New 2023 order, not a rollover. Hybrid Lariat Lux 360 360+
Ordered 9/16/23 (should have been 9/15 but order did not get placed that day)
Received confirmation the same day
Received COVP confirmation on 9/19
Received build week of 11/28
Built 12/3
Shipped notification 12/6
Got a text on 12/10 it has left the plant
Got a text on 12/16 it was in the US (through customs I assume)
Good for You! I hope to be in your shoes in the next couple of weeks. I have a question though. Mine is set up for build week of 12/19 (build day 12/23). How did you get text about it leaving plant, etc...?

To be 100% clear, the "Wi-Fi Hot Spot" is the component that might or might not have been dropped from your build. The "modem" (required for FordPass, etc.) is not impacted by the "Wi-Fi Delete" option.

PS - my Hybrid FE (built 6/28/22 per the window sticker) does have the Wi-Fi Hot Spot. (Not that it will ever get used... Phones with unlimited data render it moot.)

To save writing it again, here are my thoughts on the Maverick after almost 2 weeks, and a little over 1100 miles...
TLDR: I LOVE IT!

I don't know. That was the purpose of this thread, to see if anyone else has received similar texts.

- It might be some new automated system that Ford has implemented

- It might be my salesman texting me info as he gets it.

If you read upstream on this thread several people mentioned Ford has a new tracking system available to dealers that shows the info I have received. But no one seems to know if any of that info goes to customers. It is possible my dealer or salesman is using that app to get information and texting to me.

I did reply and asked who was sending the texts but no response.

Ok, thanks! I'm hoping to see texts like that soon.

The modem is still there for Ford Pass Connect, but the Wifi hotspot is confirmed removed on all 23's. I believe @fordvideoguy has confirmed this on his videos and so has my dealer. Also from 'blue oval forums':

INFORMATION
Product Offering Changes: 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot Feature Delete - Update
ACTION REQUESTED
  • Due to the global semiconductor shortage, customers taking delivery of some Explorer, Super Duty, Escape, Bronco Sport, Maverick, Mustang, Transit, Transit Connect, or Medium Duty Truck must be informed that these vehicles are not equipped with the 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot, which provides the capability to use your vehicle as a WiFi hotspot, connecting up to 10 devices at a time. This feature is complimentary for a 3 month or 3GB trial period, whichever comes first, and requires a contract with AT&T thereafter. Note: no other FordPass Connect feature is impacted by this feature delete.
  • Vehicles that have had the 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot feature removed from vehicles will receive a $20 MSRP credit on the window label and vehicle invoice.
  • Future vehicle orders may have the 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot Feature Delete option added to avoid any delays in scheduling. The option code for this feature delete is:
    • 91W – Escape
    • 59W – Explorer
    • 19Z – Super Duty (XL and XLT models only)
    • 16W – Bronco Sport
    • 19W – Maverick
    • 17W – Mustang
    • 17W – Medium Duty Truck
    • 19Z – Transit
    • 19Z – Transit Connect
  • Vehicles built with the 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot Feature Delete option will not be retrofitted to add the capability in the future

SUMMARY
While the automotive industry continues to be confronted by supply chain shortages, Ford is working diligently to ensure our vehicles are delivered to dealers and customers as quickly as possible. These shortages impact a wide variety of components used to manufacture our products. Therefore, Ford will be making the following product offering changes to Explorer, Super Duty, Escape, Bronco Sport, Maverick, Mustang, Transit, Transit Connect, and Medium Duty Truck vehicles in an effort to help customers receive their vehicles sooner. Your understanding & continued support are appreciated.

  • 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot feature is being deleted from applicable vehicles indicated above.
  • A $20 MSRP credit will be applied to any vehicles that have had this feature removed.
  • A 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot Feature Delete option may be added to future orders.
  • There are no retrofit plans for vehicles built without the 4G LTE WiFit Hotspot feature.
Dealer stock orders require no special handling or customer acknowledgement forms. Customers taking delivery of retail orders must sign the attached Acknowledgement Form. A copy of the signed Acknowledgment Form must be included in the deal jacket.
Customer Acknowledgement Form
A signed Customer Acknowledgement Form is required documentation for customers taking delivery of an impacted retail ordered vehicle.
Signed copies of the form, must be maintained by the selling dealer in the vehicle deal jacket.
A copy of the form is attached and will also be available to download through Smart Vincent and on FMC Dealer.

So I just got my window sticker and it clearly reads it has a hot spot and modem can any one confirm.who has accepted delivery
So just to clear up any confusion it does not have hot spot but does have Ford pass module to connect to the car when you're away from it I know this now because my 2023 Maverick is in the driveway
