WEll I went to check with my dealer today and somehow I had spray on bedliner on my order. I was told it was removed from the lux package but I still had it on my order. That is probably on me but now I can't get the bed rails thrown fo nothing. Oh well.
Since the discount will be applied later to those who have these two items on their order, you should be able to still add the bed rails added and have that discount applied.

I don't understand why the XL trim would be constrained verses XLT or Lariat. The XL trim is the same truck as the XLT except it has fewer features or options. As a truck rolls down the assembly line why would leaving off options be a constraint? I think it's about the profit margins Ford enjoys off the upper trim levels that's driving this. If Ford can only make a set number of Mavericks, and the XL trim returns the least profit, it only makes sense that Ford would rather use that manufacturing ability to produce XLTs or Lariats.

If changing my current order from a XL hybrid to a XLT hybrid improves my chances or timing of getting the truck, then I'm going to do it.
XL is highly constrained (over-subscribed in the ordering system). Changing to XLT will definitely improve your odds, since XLTs are undersubscribed.

Hybrid is likewise highly constrained - enough so that only about half of those ordered will be built. But your odds of getting an XLT are enough higher that even cutting it in half by ordering a hybrid will still improve your odds over getting an XL Hybrid. If you can swing the price, I'd do it.

Better yet, switch to EB XLT, where you're almost guaranteed to get your truck "sometime" in 2023...

You're at Priority 2 but have no VIN or production week? You have called Ford CSR and asked for status, right? I ask only because I've never received a production date and VIN from Ford via email like I did the first time. I strictly obtained that info by calling 800-392-3673 and requesting all info (including Private Offer Program #, Private Offer Certificate #'s, Delivery ETA, etc.). After establishing so many expectations via email in the past, only to rescind those updates later on, I'm wondering if Ford decided to quit sending out emails until status is 100% solid? Or perhaps others have been receiving emailed notifications that I have not?
Thank you for this information!! I just called the Ford Customer Service and talked to an extremely helpful person. I was inquiring about my cancelled 22 VIN Maverick Hybrid Lariat with Luxury package. I had very little information to give, but she was able to look up what I provided and give me information. She said it had been reordered on November 14 and gave me the VIN Number, which has not provided. She also gave me a build date of January 16 with arrival at the dealership between February 9 - 15 subject to change (I know…been there with the 22 order). That’s the most information I have gotten, so again thanks for your information

Can someone answer the question what on the Hybrid configuration is the constraint item. Is it the battery, the electric motors etc. I have read on many sites that these items are available. Ford makes its own batteries so that should not be a issue. Inquiring minds want to know.
The eCVT transmission is what Ford mentioned was holding up Hybrid builds.

In my experience it was always the first order in the system got scheduled. According to what Ford is saying, it could be either.
It took my dealer a couple tries to get my order correct. My first order confirmation from Ford was 9/16 with price level 315. My correct order confirmation was 9/27 with price level 320.

Does that mean my order date was already pushed back to late September?

Does anybody have any insight as to how many hybrids are switching to the Ecoboost? Important to know, I’d assume.

It’s important to remember the difference between constraints, which are based on received orders exceeding the production plan, and actual shortages which are insufficient parts to meet the production plan (Like the parked F-150s).

I do not believe there are any shortages for hybrids. Ford set the take rate at 35% well in advance of the model year, based a number of factors, including marketing goals, CAFE calculations and contracted supplier capacity. They are building to plan.

But hybrids are constrained because the number of orders received and accepted is more than double the planned production, hence the problem. Their order entry systems should have prevented that from happening, but they didn’t have the capability.

Same reasoning applies to the XL limited to 15% of production (clearly that was a marketing goal).

Sometimes they can increase production by going back to suppliers (including Van Dyke suppliers), asking for more than contracted volume. But this could impact other things, like CAFE and marketing, even if suppliers were capable of increasing volume.

It’s a complicated business with a lot of moving parts. But in both the hybrid and XL cases it seems to be a constraint issue, not any shortages.

Right, i am with you, i have been trying to explain that distinction for awhile. From what I could tell eCVT was something they could not easily produce more of than what they initially had planned.

I contacted my dealer requesting to change from Hybrid to EcoBoost per this memo and got the following response...

" as far as I know, we may not be able to change the engine on your order as it may just cancel out the order entirely. That is from my sales manager that handles our orders. My recommendation would be to keep your order exactly the way it is. "

Any thoughts on how I should proceed? Shouldn't all dealers have received this memo?

My current order already has the "6 D-Link BED Connectors". Does this mean that I already have the bed rails on my order?
Yes. I presume your Order Summary list that as a $225 item?

Congrats! Also looks like you'll get the $225 discount for having both 6 D-Link Bed Connectors and Spray-in Bedliner on your order.

Yes, it does. With that being said, there was no discount shown of my revised DORA sheet.
I don't know if anyone has seen it reflected anywhere yet? I thought fordvideoguy and or others have indicated that it will appear in the end when window sticker or other final pricing is generated. That's what I'm counting on.
