Hey, I get it. It's easy to blame Ford for however long your wait is or has been for your new Maverick. Ford should have done this, or Ford should do that.... well Ford has been building cars for over a hundred years. Anyone that has been in business that long has it figured out. Sure, the pandemic screwed things up but to those who think Ford should have planned better, maybe YOU should have done better PLANNING yourself.
I started looking for a new pick up several years ago and began doing research on the Ranger. It was a little bigger than what I needed and when word of the Maverick came out, I put off my buying decision until more information was available. When it became available to order I specked out what I wanted, once I saw one in person and was able to measure the bed to see if it would fit my needs, I placed an order the next day. Bronco delays were old news, so I didn't PLAN to see the truck for a year if not two.
Probably get a bunch of flames from the younger "Amazon Overnight " crowd. Like I said, I get it. I understand sometimes your current ride dies or gets wrecked and you have to have a new vehicle right away. Pay extra if you need it now just like you did when you bought those Taylor Swift concert tickets right before the show. Remember, Ford is doing everything they can to get your truck built. Just because someone else gets theirs before you that ordered after you doesn't mean Ford is FUBAB.
I got my truck after a ten month wait and it has been well worth it. It didn't change my life, nor would it have been ruined if I was still waiting on a build date.
