hmmmm doing digging hard to find any answers. Looks like the c2 can’t be flat towed.
they said the added cost of engineering and risk of premature wear wasn’t worth if for such a small demographic (that is shrinking)

Recreational flat-towing is possible with the hybrid model only. Front-wheel-drive EcoBoost models must have the front wheels on a two-wheel dolly, while all-wheel-drive models must be on a trailer with all four wheels off the ground. Emergency flat-towing is possible, but there are special restrictions.
Motorhome are not shrinking, in fact they are at an all time high and with rigs getting bigger more are towing a toad.

On page 287 of the Maverick manual (I own a Maverick eco boost) it states, "You can tow your hybrid Maverick with all four wheels on the ground under the following conditions:
-you switch neutral tow on
-your vehicle is facing forward for towing in a forward direction
-you release the parking brake
-you do not exceed 70 mph (113 km/h)
The eco boost AWD Maverick can't be flat towed.
