I would like a bigger screen and would gladly lose the cubby (everyone gasps) to do it. Is it doable yet?

I haven't seen anyone post it and haven't seen anything online at Crutchfield or Amazon.

With what? There isn’t anything available yet. Believe me, when something better is available, you will see replacement tutorial posts, in the search.

It's out there on the 2023 Escape. 13.2" diagonal will fit using up the cubby, probably.

But only 8" of it is used for nav. The "cubby" area is more for "info".

I might get bored enough....
Commadore. Commadore! Commadore!! Commadore!!!

I think my threshold might be $300-$500. I wonder if the Maverick software would work with the larger screen.

Don't know. I will investigate once the Escape comes out and I can get a part number. I'd also need my Maverick.

So, I have time...

I bet something will come out that just slaps over the cubby as part of the larger head unit with some sort of insert on the back to help it stay in place. Also some sort of metal harness/frame for the space where the ripped out smaller unit was recessed into, but still protruding out more than the old one to allow for the cubby to be there but be covered up with a wider screen.

Only other way would be to rip out the entire cubby and all. Which might also work?
