Has anyone replaced their 8" screen? If so, how?

Ok, Hollow & Commadore are taking the point on this one (whoever gets their Maverick first), and we're gonna put Nunya at the rear...not because we don't want his idea implemented (quite the opposite). I'm just thinking this could go horribly wrong and take out the whole company if he's out front. :)

If the price point is more than $500, ClemsonU88 is out. I'm as cheap as I am ambitious. Those 2 qualities frequently work against each other for me, and the cheapness almost always wins out...unless Nunya can somehow make the 70" screen work. That would be worth it.
With the route I'm going to be taking, it'll definitely be more than $500. Unfortunately with Ford they make it pretty costly to go aftermarket. The harness for the Maestro and the MaestroRR themselves will cost around ≤$280, and the radio I'm thinking of getting is $650 MSRP.

It'll be expensive, but worth it in my eyes. With the MaestroRR, the Pioneer will be able to control the air conditioning, and be able to pull info from the truck like TPMS, check engine light codes, as well as information from the engine (coolant temp, trans temp, a/f ratios, the works).

OH the 12V battery draining issue has landed on your Mav?
I suspect the cable issue. No parts available for repairs. I think I may join the Kia group while there is still trade-in value

I'm cool with the stock screen, I'm hoping someone makes a relocation bracket that gets rid of the cubby entirely

A lot of this is going to depend on if the electrical system has overhead for the increased power draw for the larger screen. I don't know how tight Ford does their tolerances.

For what's it worth, I have a buddy who dislikes the bigger screen on his F-150. Says it's too much information and interferes with his driving. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. (Save the jokes, please)

Ignoring entertainment and the backup camera: is there anything else the center screen offers that you can't access or configure elsewhere in the vehicle?

I've been thinking it would be rad to replace the screen with higher-spec, automotive-grade device that can accept HDMI input.

From there, load Android Automotive on a Raspberry Pi4 and you could configure it pretty much any way you want. I'd love to display some high-speed performance data off CAN mixed with aftermarket senders (for oil pressure, oil temperature, etc.), and display the feeds from a front bumper and third brake light camera.

Android Automotive info: https://source.android.com/docs/devices/automotive/start/what_automotive

A few OEMs are switching from their proprietary software, including Ford (F150 Lightning, 2023+ MachE), GM, and Volvo.

Man, all the cubby hate on here....

I love the cubby, my GW Finn wallet fits perfectly in there! I find that more useful than a larger screen. Then again, I like AM radio, so..... 🤠
Think Ford may have a thing about cubbies. My 2011 F-150 had one. I find it a convenient place to put usb cables. But that's about it.

Well I got the 70in screen to fit. Had to take it out. Couldn't see out the front window. Tried tried sticking my head out the side window but it started to rain. At 70 mph rain doesn't feel to good
