You just want them to shut down the plant while they wait for parts to build the oldest orders? Seems that it is a better idea to maybe keep it running and build what they can, no?
No I do not want them to shut down the plant. I want them to build the orders as they received them. Seems to me that at certain points I have seen folks with orders which were higher dollar sales that were built - lariat, XLT with Lux etc packages which included SIBL, hitch etc. while those of us that had SIBL not as part of a package or a hitch that’s not attached to a package but with earlier order dates be bypassed. Been around since ordering on October 11, 2021. Being given a VIN and 6 build weeks to then get ‘transitioned’ to a my23 now. I understand constraints. Covid issues. Etc. etc. Then Ford opened order bank to new my23 orders and some of those will get built BEFORE any my22 transitioned orders. That just plain stinks.

My Dealer just sent me My order sheet; my order is at Priority 2! Order number is the same. I added a few options that aren't constrained and they are showing. For those of us that have had good sales people; we should give praise to those poor people having to navigate this completely unprecedented process they have been put through with little guidance or support from corporate after the dealer rep department was dismantled

If the one person making stuff at DQ put down my banana split to make that cone, yeah I would be pissed.
yeah but then it would become a banana float, ask for a straw

1. Ford is not one person.
2. I would not be pissed. It would be like if I am next in line at the grocery store with a large order and I see someone behind me with a single item- I would tell them to go ahead because it makes more sense to bang the quick one out, I would rather myself be inconvenienced a little than the other person be inconvenienced a lot.
3. The point is that not all Maverick orders are the same, and it is silly for someone, who's order is not fulfillable at this time, to say 'nobody else gets a truck until I get mine'. To them I say, I'm sorry that your dealer does not have any allocations, or you ordered a truck with constrained options- my dealer does and I didn't so if you could please step aside....

1. One factory, one assembly line making Mavericks.
2. Good that you as the consumer made that choice. If the cashier kept calling people up with fewer items than you had before they checked you out, I think you might start to get annoyed.
3. We know not all trucks are the same and Ford is going to do things how Ford wants. I think it is OK for people who are still waiting for orders placed in 2021 to vent their frustration here without being reprimanded for it.

1. So kind of like one dairy queen, one team making orders?
2. Stores do have shorter checkout lines restricted to people with smaller orders.
2b. It is a moot point if the store does not have an item that a person wants in stock.
3. Who got reprimanded?

Venting frustration is one thing. Saying that Ford should build trucks in the order of which orders are placed is nonsense. If Ford does not have the parts to build person A's truck, or if person A's dealer does not have allocations, then it is perfectly logical for Ford to move on to the next one.

Sure that makes sense, I'm not arguing against that. Then once they get in constrained parts, they should push unbuilt scheduled orders out to later dates to fit in ones they delayed when they didn't have parts.

That would be pretty foolish of Ford. They are in business to stay in business. One ticked off customer is better than two ticked off customers.

Why should one customer who’s waited 3 months be pissed off if they get moved behind another waiting 14 months?

Tim, question for you...
Yesterday I checked with chat to see if my rollover was at priority 02 yet, and found out that it's still 99, apparently my dealer never changed it like they said they did. I contacted them this morning and they won't even look at it until tomorrow, which is obviously past the 11/30 date. Any idea what might happen to my order?
I don't but I do have some currently because one of ours already purchased and I left it in the system so tomorrow I should be able to tell you. I assume it will stay in there. I think the deadline was so they could put it into status 2 at the same time for all the orders.

Yes. My Oct 2021 XLT Hybrid with lux package is now priority 2!! Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick scheduling.
Where do you get your order priority number? From Ford customer serve or from your dealer?

Also, can I go online and see my order status? If so, how?

I asked the person through Ford chat. I asked her if my order was set at priority 2 and she said yes.
For order status, go to Ford Chat and click the button that says "Start Chatting" and it will walk you through the entries they need. They will ask you for your first and last name, your email, your VIN # ( skip this if you don't have a VIN number yet), your zip code and a drop down menu that lets you pick what you are inquiring about. On this I always click the second one. Then you see how many are ahead of you in line and the estimated wait time.

Can't hardly believe this needs to be explained, but FMC telling a customer "your truck will be built on this specific date", then not building the truck on that date is likely to tick off a customer.

What is your point? If the same promise was given to someone 14 months ago vs 3 then what?
