Would it not make sense to manufacture the Tremors first for two reasons: 1. Only around 3 to 8% of Mavericks will be Tremors( from what I seen) 2. Wouldn’t having Tremors on the road be good advertising
Neither of those would actually make sense. Producing all of the Tremors up front means needing a giant order of tremor specific materials up front followed by nothing, instead of a more consistent production that’s easier for planning.

I don’t know the specific reason, but based on the lack of Maverick advertising I’ve run across they don’t seem to feel a need for any. Maybe they think the lack of availability is more likely to drive people away, or they have other priorities to highlight like EVs, or some other reason.

If the tremor mix is 8%, my dart throw says they will build 8% every month.

But I am more and more convinced region and state plays a big part. Like CA, FL and TX will get more allocations then anyone else.
Well, it would stand to reason that the 3 states with the largest populations, and likely most dealers, and likely most orders would get the most allocations.

There is no reason for a company to spend money advertising a product that is sold out.

That's what one would expect. Technically NY and FL should be about the same.

And… closest to the factory to get quicker sales.

No, that plays no role whatsoever. Generally speaking, moving a shipment of trucks to one state vs another state is a matter of 2-3 days. And Florida and half of California is nowhere near the factory.

Oh I am pretty sure logistics play a part. And it takes 2 weeks to get here from
Factory compared to 4-6 to other states so yes I would say it is closer

You honestly believe that proximity to production plant is a factor in dealer allocations? Like, for real?

I don't mean to be rude but having finally getting my maverick yesterday I feel lucky. I bought a xlt with the 360 package, A real Spare tire and trailer hitch. I had many things ordered but to get my truck within a year I dropped things. So you can get after market others you can't. The truck you have ordered is so loaded I'll be surprised if you get it in a year. Hope I'm wrong! Good luck!...

From a business point of view, why not?! Put more vehicles in hands of the customers quicker..just a fact more vehicles are getting sent to CA, and it only takes 2-3 weeks to get in hands of customer. Why not favor that a little more, no one will ever know who you favor but ford Corp.
