Great to see hybrids in the mix, I don’t think anyone expected that. Fingers crossed for everyone here!

Two things learned from this thread that are causing customer heartburn:

1) "Reordered" MY22 trucks and "new" MY23 orders are being treated the same. No priority is being given to the "reordered" ones. The possible exception is at the dealer level if they assigned their "reorders" priority 10 and gave new orders a higher number.

2) MY23 orders made in September are being scheduled ahead of the MY22 orders that previously were scheduled with VINs.

I think #1 is the most egregious. Ford should have flagged all MY23 orders that corresponded to unscheduled MY22 orders and gave them priority (subject to constraints). To put customers who already waited a year on equal footing with brand new orders is just wrong.

#2 is somewhat understandable due to timing. The MY23 orders made in September have been in for awhile, while Ford made an 11th hour decision to cancel unbuilt MY22 orders with VINs and move them to MY23. It's likely why the first batch of scheduled MY23 orders jumped ahead of the unbuilt MY22 VINs. However, those with MY22 VINs do have a higher priority with Ford, and based on customer service calls we know some of the MY22 VINs are scheduled for January.

So, except for the lucky ones who received scheduling emails yesterday, I think those with MY22 VINs will be in a better position going forward. It would also be nice if, after the MY22 VIN folks get their new VINs, Ford would swap some build dates (January with December), but that would be expecting them to do the right thing.

I now have hope my non-EB truck will still get built and maybe even before June.

I don't think it was fair or a good idea to take the roll over MY22 and mix them up in the bunch of other 23's and start building everyones orders based on some other formula. Like location? Number of units going to the same place? Alignment of Saturn in position to Mercury?

Can anyone first time NEW 2023 order that received scheduled date please let mek know so that I can show my dealer. I haven't received anything from Ford and my dealer says only rollovers are being scheduled. Also, checked with Ford customer service and verified order was in. Thanks

#1 is hard to enforce, especially if a dealer had no rollovers because they stayed within their allocation limits. Is it fair to give their allocations to dealers that purposely overbooked with the foolish hope Ford would overbuild and grant them their extra sales? I'm not defending or condemning anyone. It's just hard to figure out that proper balance and dealer behavior isn't fair to the consumer.

#2 I completely agree with. Ford likely wanted to get all those in the system first but simply ran out of time and had to get the first run scheduled before the holidays start taking their toll on staffing. I would expect no more new MY23 hybrids being scheduled until MY22 rollovers are booked or has a constraint that prevents it.

Finally got a vin number. Mine was a rollover from a 1/14/22 original order date. XL ecoboost, trailer hitch, co-pilot 360, and a full size spare.......

No way to enforce roll over first with the current system in place. Right, wrong, or otherwise that's the truth of it.

More people scheduled for first 4 weeks on first release than I expected.

Yes it's fair. Ford confirmed those orders as MY2022 models. There was no "overbooking". If Ford didn't want to build those they should not have confirmed the orders.

I should have said subject to constraints and MY23 allocations. Let's say Dealer A has 10 allocations for MY23 and 5 MY22 orders that never got built. Those 5 should get scheduling priority over their new orders and Dealer B's new orders even if Dealer B has no rollovers. Ford allowed dealers to oversubscribe at the expense of the customer, so they ought to do something.

Now, if Dealer A has 5 allocations for MY23 and 10 leftover MY22 orders I'm not saying all 10 get priority ahead of Dealer B's orders. I get they can't just take allocations from other dealers. Five of 10 would be SOL just like in '22.

Yesterday was one of the most Ironic days. Exactly one month to the day that I was dealing with being at ground zero for hurricane IAN, I get the email from FORD that our Maverick is scheduled for the first build week for the MY23 Maverick. Things have been extremely hectic around here and to be honest, for the first time in more than a year, the Maverick fiasco just wasn't on my mind. After not getting scheduled for MY22 I was pretty much thinking best-case-scenario would be sometime in February or March to get scheduled. Based on what has been reported on this forum and watching Tim's videos, I was prepared for the hits to just keep coming.

Yesterday I drove within seeing distance of the Ford dealer where I placed our order in October of 2021 (haven't been there since). It was the first time I was out of my neighborhood since the September 28th hurricane. I actually thought about pulling into the dealership to just say hi to Reggi, my salesman -- but we all know here that would just be a waste of time. So instead, I stopped at the Habitat Sore on my way back home. I wasn't in the store more than two minutes and got the email ping. Ironically, if I would have gone to the dealership, I would have got that email while talking to my salesman - that wild or what.

Being scheduled for the first week of production and the fact that production starts on the 23rd, I do believe Ford will build my Maverick on the 23rd, 24th, or the 25th (26th if they work Saturdays). Reason being is my very low VIN. The odd thing too is that if I would have been scheduled near the end of MY22 production my Maverick likely wouldn't get built before the end of the year.

Then again, nobody can figure out what Ford is thinking!

First off, congrats to all those MY22-MY23 orders that have been scheduled.

I would like to know how big the dealership is in state and/or national ranking in terms of sales. I assume total sales equates to higher than average allocation. I ordered a virgin MY23 order from the one of two largest (their word, not mine) in Texas and the 5th largest (again their word, not mine) dealership in the country. Again, congrats to all!
