Yeah same here. Dealership said they would order me a new one to see if it’s any better. I believe I found the correct part number and they’re around 35 dollars if I remember correctly.
When I first got my Mav, I thought about asking my dealer. But with all the things about the plastic scratching easy, I’m concerned things might be worst after they swap it. And it might still be warped.
Was thinking about putting some 3M strip caulk under it, but I’m just living with for now.

Curious about the front dash center speaker cover being slightly warped. I have seen others with the same issue. There is a slight gap. Wondering if this is normal.

Fairly common. I trimmed off the tab on the cover that's at that spot and it settled on its own eventually.
This has bugged me since I see it in all of the images. Can you please elaborate on exactly which tab you trimmed down, and how long did it take for the cover to settle down and remove the gap?

Right at the front center there is a small H-shaped tab seemingly there just for alignment purposes. It doesn't hook in to anything, just sits in a corresponding notch in the edge of the dash cutout. It took maybe a week or two to flatten out?

How did you get to that tab? Did you need a trim puller tool, for example?

I have noticed we had a few warmer days and the plastic cover seemed to be fairly moldable. If dealer won’t fix it this next summer I may just lay a small weight on the cover where it bows up to see if it will compress back down. Pretty confident that this would work.

Generally you don't want to max the bass level. It typically has a pretty narrow bandwidth so whatever the center frequency is, let's pick 100hz, music will sound very "one note" if that frequency is boosted 6, 12 or more db. It's worse at higher volumes.

It also depends on what music you're listening to and how loud.

But at any rate I recommend stereo mode, bass not more than +3, -1 treble at most. Surround mode is terrible and the Maverick is quiet enough that speed based volume boost isn't needed, and it's not something you want to use if you're turning it up to or near max (30).

If you're replacing speakers you get a massive gain from the front doors. If you have rear seat passengers the rear are probably worth doing as well, but I haven't yet.

Yeah I wound mind swapping speakers as long as they had the plug n play harness with them which from what I can tell crutchfield hasn’t made yet.

Surround mode is such a weird setting. Near as I can tell it boosts the (already dominant) center dash speaker and the rears. To my ears this always creates a bizarre doglegged sound stage of LF - C - RR which I eventually find distracting having the right channel coming over behind my shoulder.

I do think it's some kind of time alignment / phase manipulation. It sounds like it's doing something with midbass also, which I think people can hear and might like. I am not a fan.

I think the B&O sounds quite good coming from my Sport Trac that had a full aftermarket setup.
I did change the rear speakers with some $99 Morel from Crutchfield, the factory rears are very poor which you'll notice by turning the fade all the way to the rear.
Surround on and fade a little to the rear for me, other settings in photo.

I mostly listen to Tidal Music and SiriusXM, well until my last 3-month Sirius trial ends in January due to the dealer app loophole finally closing after over 3 years.

What size Morels did you run in the rear?

Has anyone tested how clean the signal output is from the B&O amp? I am adding an after market amp and planning on inputting line level source to my 5 channel amp from the B&O system output. I plan on running Morel 2 ways in the front and 4" coat Morels in the rear. I am on the fence if a signal processor will make a big difference. Any thoughts?
