Quick observation and all I ask is that you internalize it for a moment before you yell at me for posting LOL.

The wait has been extremely long, a year plus for some, there have been many frustrations and poor communication as well. All that has caused what appears to be some shorter fuses than need be; what are you talking about you say?

Well, it seems lately that some of the responses to a lot of folks posts have been short, or irritated undertones, even a bit brash. I think folks should keep in mind there is a new batch of orders in, new fans of the Maverick, and new owners. Some folks have questions that yes have been answered before or that may seem basic but weren't we all there?

Besides, what else are we gonna do with our time?? Hahaha

Ok, now you can persecute me, I have thick skin, go for it :)
[sarcasm]
all answers are already on the internet so just google it. I mean, I could have already answered your question but I'll waste way more time not answering and it and tell you to just google it. boy, you sure are dumb for not just googling everything! wait, why is this forum here again? we should probably just shut it down because everything can in fact be googled. Honestly I'm not sure why I even pointed this out because this also could have been googled. As could this. And this. And....

It's like in my business -- graphic design -- "Do you want it cheap, fast or good?... pick two". All us Maverick peeps waiting are in the "Cheap/Good" camp. The "Fast/Good" buyers are paying out the nose.

edit: spelling. Went for the fast/cheap post, had to go back and make it good. ;-)

All I want for Christmas is my new Maverick to pull and drive around the country. I was told you could flat tow it so I bought it.
As long as you mean Christmas next year

To be fair, no one is making you buy or wait for a Maverick, and everyone knew going in that the wait times were long and unpredictable. If anyone needs a car to visit the grandkids, get to work, get a sick relative to treatment or whatever they can certainly take $25K into any auto dealership anywhere and drive home today in a very decent and reliable 2-3 year old car.
gonna have to disagree. when i ordered the maverick, dealers were practically giving cars away. if i want to buy a smallish truck for $20k now, it's gonna be a 2012 with 200k miles on it. not quite comparable.

You don't like your options. So you get frustrated with Ford? They didn't create the scenario where these are the only options. They are playing in the same sandbox you are. I assure you they wish they could build more and sell more as well.

What has Ford learned from the Bronco roll out… original Bronco orders still being filled or ignored. What about Ford allowing Dealers to price gouge? What about closings MY23 Maverick, so they can let Dealers order so that they can let dealers price gouge” I’m anxiously awaiting my Maverick, but I really think Ford has really had piss poor management of these roll outs. They went ahead and split into two divisions without prior contact and planning with their dealers as to who does what when.
Didn't do silly reservations. Closed order bank quickly for second year. Seems they are adjusting. No one has the magic bullet. If you don't like it don't buy it.

that kind of thing applies when design work is being done in a lot of fields but that's not the situation here. do you think that if the dealers stopped price gouging the quality or speed at which these trucks are made would change? it's an independent variable.

Not sure if you mean that Cheap only refers to the XL Maverick but I consider my XLT Maverick Hybrid to be Cheap (price wise) compared to any other small pickup truck especially since it is a Hybrid. I got it for 1.8% under MSRP price.

As for Fast I ordered 8/23/21 and picked it up 12/13/21 which was very fast for me.

It is most certainly Good.

So I guess that I am one of the lucky ones who got all three: Cheap, Fast and Good. 😊

EDIT: Actually thinking about it more it wasn't luck but learning by reading threads here in the MTC and watching videos on Tim's @fordvideoguy website that got me to remove the constrained items from my original order and buying those items like All Weather Floor Liners, Splash Guards and Hard Drop-in Bedliner later after I got my Maverick delivered. Also asking the dealer for Priority 10 on the order helped. Doing these steps got my Maverick scheduled quickly as other orders at the dealership had lots of constrained items on them (as told to me by my dealer).

How did a multi-billion dollar company that has been around for over a 100 years not have a Plan B and Plan C and Plan D?Heck, Bill and Nancy’s Snack Stand at Misty Meadow Lake can come up with backup ideas if they run out of something—run out of Pepsi and Coke, get more RC, Dr Pepper,
Cheerwine, Big Red, etc. Run out of soda, get Hawaiian Punch. Run out of that, sell lemonade. Piggly Wiggly has pipes burst, go to another one. Strike going on at Piggly Wiggly, go to Bi-Lo. A company as big as Ford should never have allowed itself to be out of parts in the first place. I ordered a base hybrid XL with only a drop-in bedliner, not some $35,000 model with everything under the Sun. I will be lucky if I get this in under 14 months. And that is only if the mysterious November 14 build date megathon actually happens. I am ok so far with my current truck still running, but there are a lot of families that have lost thousands of dollars because of Ford.
Bill and Nancy aren't building a complete vehicle every 45 seconds from an international supply chain.

Patients is a virtue. First build week 11-7. Second build week 11-14. Now build week 12-19. It is what it is. Bright side low miles for a 22.

I wonder how many of the folks who just found out the trucks they were issued a VIN and a build week for are being cancelled are able to take a deep breath today. I hope no one has a heart attack!

No more excuses for Ford. They used them all up when they lied to thousands of us in August.
Nobody is making excuses. No one lied to us in August. Information was the best available at the time.

Take your "I hate Ford glasses" off and look around.
Car lots have very few cars. Any make or model.
Auto plants, all manufactures world wide, are experiencing shut downs due to missing components. Chips are just one of many.
Store shelves are empty. Each week it is a different commodity.
The world supply chain is in a mess like we have never seen before.
You act like Jim Farley doesn't want to build your truck.

And NO.....Bill and Nancy’s Snack Stand at Misty Meadow Lake would not get more RC or Dr Pepper because there supplier would not have any.

Why does it seem like current model vehicles (such as the ranger) just keep getting larger each iteration until they realize its a completely different vehicle now. Then they have to release a new vehicle to fill the gap.
In part because the method for determining Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFE) targets is based on a formula that factors footprint: the square footage of track width x wheelbase. If your engineers stretch and widen or push the wheels more to the corners, congrats, you don't need to be as fuel efficient.
