Was wanting to get a sense for the models of tonneau that have the slots for a rack. I know Truxedo has a few. But overall not an easy feature to filter out. Hoping to get a tonneau with the slots, thinking a rack for bikes or kayak would be useful.

If you get the TS Rails from Truxedo they work with lots of different tonneau types and brands.
Otherwise I think the only tonneaus with built-in rails are of the retractable variety.

So I may be confused. I thought the rails were built into the tonneau. Do the TS rails get added after?

Some tonneaus have an exterior rail for attaching racks, etc; most do not. This item is just the rails that can be used with or without a variety of different tonneau options.

Here's a picture of the Elevate rails and rack with Undercover Ultra Flex tonneau.

That looks great. Pretty much what I am looking to do including the kayak...

There is another option other than the TS Rails and the retractable covers with rails. That's the Diamondback cover and you can mount rails directly to the top of it. The Diamondback does have a premium price, but I think it's worth it.

Interesting. Price isn't crazy, it's in line with the premium covers. Issue would be with that cover you couldn't open it with something on the rails. I'm thinking the Truxedo Elevate and TS Rails because it allows high enough to open the cover and access the bed.

Be aware the Undercover won't fold past the rack next to the cab. I moved the struts some it folds up against the front rack. Works well that way.

Just installed today.
Elevate rails with the trifold tonneau , yakima towers and bars.

Looks good. Couple questions.

1. Is that the truxedo Tri fold?
2. When the bars are down like that on a Tri fold, how do you open it?
3. How hard on the Elevate is it to adjust the height?
4. Could you take the bars off and put the cleats over the t slot studs? That would be nice if so.

58" bars.

1. It's the Ford tri fold.
2. Basically you can't but the Yakima Skyline towers pop off in less than a minute.
3. They are Yakima Skyline towers, they don't adjust (up - down) only along the track.
4. Remove the Skyline towers, remove the Landing Pad 1's, loosen the cleats and put them where you want them.

Don't forget the locks for the Skyline towers, they come off really easy if not locked.

I'm getting the Inno Wedge 660 next week and will mount it on the bars, I might have to remove the cleats completely depending where the bars need to be. The reason I'm getting the Inno instead of the Yakima or Thule because of the height of the boxes. The Inno Wedge 660 is only 11 inches high, on the bars it will be just below the cab top. The Inno will be about 1'-6" longer than the bed, I may put a brake light/turn signal on it.

The install is very simple because it uses clamps on the bed. I actually use the Elevate clamps and two of the tonneau clamps. I can grab the Skyline's and rock the truck, the rails don't move, that's how you test the install.
This is the install, really simple.

The Elevate comes with a lot of extra stuff like the clamps for the Jeep install.

Guess I could post this.

TruXedo Elevate TS Rails - $144.62 - Amazon (4-6 weeks anywhere else)
Yakima Landing Pad 1 - 2 @ 71.95 = $143.90 - RackAttack (did not have them at REI)
Yakima Skyline Towers 4 @ $244.95 - RackAttack (did not have them at REI)
Yakima RoundBar SL Adaptors - Set of 4 $30.00 - REI (did not have them at RackAttack)
I had the 58" bars from my Jeep.
Yakima locks $70.00 - REI (did not have them at RackAttack)
Inno Wedge 660 - 689.95 - REI (620.96 for members).

With supply chain issues everywhere I had to run around a bit or I would have bought from one vendor. I ski (Ski Patrol) and wanted the the stuff before the snow flies. The bed will not hold skis longer then about 170 cm diagonal. My regular ski lengths are 178 - 180 cm.
