I started with 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, and now 11/14. I ordered 10/29/2021
So our builds are getting pushed back due to a shortage of airbags? And some people’s Mavs built before 7/2022 are being held at the dealer until their airbags get replaced?

I don't think it's a shortage, I think it's a malfunction. I don't think they are deploying when they should. That was my understanding. I don't know anything about previous built Mavs from July. Just that my dealer has a fleet of Mavs for a business and they cannot leave the lot until the airbag issue is resolved.

Recalls work that way

Carmigo estimates are hit or miss. They're just guessing. They estimated $36,500 for my XL, but it sold for $34,500.

In terms of "flipping" Mavericks, the lower the trim the more profit there is to be made it seems.
Carmigo is online auction site for dealers, I believe, and is not a retail site.

Built 9/12
So your’s was built on 9/12/2022, but it still was built with bad airbags according to your dealer? Supposedly every Mav built after July had good airbags, no? What am I missing?

Well, a shortage of functional airbags then.

Well, I will ask Saturday morning when I will be sitting down with my salesman and discussing the situation more.

One thing after another. I hope I live long enough to enjoy my ordered 23 Maverick. I'm very close to saying to hell with it and finding a used truck to get me by. I'm losing confidence that I will see my 23 delivered in 23.

The fact is MY23 production was supposed to commence 11/14 so whether it's a day, a week or a month Ford is slipping further behind schedule.
The dates have been slipping all year. This last minute slippage should come as no surprise.

I am struggling with it myself... no indication that they are getting ahead of these orders.

Surprise? I never said I was surprised. In fact, I expected it. Just sharing the info.

It's amazing to me there are still some people who expect Ford to live up to its stated intentions when it comes to scheduling, production and delivery of these trucks.

At this point, I am just hoping hoping they build my 2022 that was assigned a VIN in late August sometime before the end of the calendar year. If it shows up before Christmas, well, that would be a heck of a present under the tree!

If you Are waiting on a 23 and are already impatient then just give up now.
