I ordered Saturday, 9/17, got my confirmation e-mail from Ford Tuesday morning, 9/20.

So am I still waiting for a COVP or ROVP?

If a dealer has no roll over they can enter whatever they want. Priority is dealer specific. A priority 19 at one dealer can get scheduled before a priority 10 at another dealership.
They can enter whatever they want no matter what. A dealer with 2022 roll-over orders could put those at 19 and new orders at 10 if they wanted (it wouldn't make sense but that doesn't mean they couldn't). The suggestion from Ford to put roll-over orders at 10 and new orders above 10 was just that, a suggestion, not an order.

Same, I'm lost...my dealer said that the in processing message means the order is confirmed as retail order and then it takes 24-48 hrs to make it a covp order.
In theory my order placed on 15 Sep is a COVP order (I have a COVP tracking number), but my status still says "In Order Processing".

Anyone know what the difference is between "In Order Processing" and "Unscheduled - Clean" ?

From my experience you are likely okay. I'm in the exact same boat!

Ronald Reagan famously said "Trust, but Verify!"
Call Ford- Customer Service with your "Order Code"and "Sales Code" report back with what they say. I'd like to compare notes!
Ford CS: 800-392-3673.

As I said, makes a mockery of the whole rollover program.

Well, I
Going tomorrow to a local dealership to try to place an order for an XLT ECB AWD w/ 4K, sliding rear window, BAP (just can't take that white stuff in the XLT interior) and nothing else or an XL ECB AWD w/ 4K, CoPilot360, sliding rear window and nothing else (well I'll try to find decent alloys from an Escap, Bronco or other Maverick). I'll do the spray in bed liner, wheel locks, mud flaps, carpeted floor mats later... Let's see if I can get one in under the wire! I won't need the truck until next year... so I don't mind a good long wait, provided that I can actually get it.
Well, I went to place my order. Empty showroom. Ordered the XLT, ECB, AWD, 4K, 360, BAP, slide back win, spray-in, slide moonroof, cactus. Went with MSRP on all and Destination charge to arrive at the price.

However, Dealer insisted on adding $1800 of dealer addon stuff (nitrogen in tires, door edge guards, paint protection, etc..) Said that I didn't want any of it and won't pay for it . Jim Click Ford says that every customer must accept these items on every vehicle they sell. They wouldn't budge, I walked... See you all for MY2024...

Shame really . But I have principles and perfectly fine well maintained fine CRV & Frontier as my daily transports. I struggled with including the moonroof, 360, and BAP and the dealer insists on adding useless fluff that is priced higher than all of those items that I gave careful thought to including.

Oh well. Just feels adversarial, like I'm being taken advantage of... I just couldn't complete the process with that dealer.... I'll call another dealer by phone and see if I can make it happen...

Yep, that sucks. I've walked before as well. There are better dealerships out there that don't play the "mandatory add-on" game. Hope you find another one to work with. You can always call Long-McArthur ;)

How, there is nothing available for 2023 online. I already submitted the order inquiry last week...
You need to call an internet dealer that does deals over the phone! Like Long McArthur Ford, or You may be able to find something closer to home.

This ROVP vs COVP situation is confusing. My dealer said they did a COVP for my Mav order and gave me a 6 digit number for it. They don't know what ROVP is.

However, the message from Ford corporate that started this thread indicates that ROVP is required by 05 Oct, and COVP is optional.

Is there any way to know if I am good, or if my truck will never get scheduled?

Checking with Ford Customer Service Chat says my order is "In Order Processing."
Not sure, but I think a COVP = Customer order verification program, and a ROVP = Retail order verification program. The ROVP may be for dealer orders. We would have to get verification from Tim @fordvideoguy to be sure ;)

Robert Horne Ford has been great to work with. They are not super close to Green Valley, out in Apache Junction, but talk to Jana - Internet Sales Manager, she is great to work with, tell her Nelson sent you. Good luck!

I ordered eco boost lariat yesterday, no tricky build stuff, and got confirmation from Ford the same afternoon. Am I a lock for 2023 model year or do I still have to worry about my specific dealer allocation?

I don't think anyone is a lock necessarily... but from the sounds of it, EcoBoost's have far fewer orders and Ford was planning to build more of them. So I think your probably very likely to get it eventually.

Buy the Truck!
Drive it for a year, and then trade it off for what you want. I don't think you will lose any money on it!!!
Ha, that's what my wife suggested. Perhaps I will do that and will feel a connection once I actually see it.
