It appears that the Rear Parking Sensor Opt 76B is available on all 3 Maverick models for $260, but ONLY for fleet buyers. The only way that a retail customer can get Rear Parking Sensors is buy ordering a Lariat ($27,955), with the Lariat Luxury Package (54P; $2,610), plus Co-Pilot360TM (86B; $650), plus Co-Pilot360TM Assist (66B; $750). That adds up to $31,965.

It's kind of crazy that a retail customer can't get this kind of basic safety option without buying a fully loaded vehicle. Makes you kind of wish you were a fleet buyer.

Yep, I saw a white Maverick XL fleet vehicle at my local dealer. Had the rear parking sensors and a power drivers seat.

So, go to your dealer and say that you are ordering a fleet of one car. :ROFLMAO:

You got a back up camera. Why do you need another sensor?
Because I have a Ford Escape and an Ecosport that both have the rear parking sensors. Having a 3rd vehicle without the sensors can be a safety hazard when the rest of your vehicles have them and you forget that you have one vehicle that doesn't.

This is my ONE major regret on my new XLT with Luxury Package and Copilot 360. I have an Ecosport and a 2018 Escape that both have the rear parking sensors. My 2014 Escape and my brand new Maverick don't. It's definitely a serious safety hazard having a mixed fleet like this.

I just traded a '21 Bronco Sport for an XLT with all the packages. I can't believe all the things the XLT doesn't have that were standard on my Sport for less money. If I had known I don't think I would have switched.

Ummm, am I missing some tongue in cheek or are you that frustrated it wasn't an option that this is your justification?

This is NOT tongue in cheek. Two weeks ago my wife backed into another car in a parking lot with our 2014 Escape which does not have the rear parking sensor, because she was used to our 2018 Escape that does have the parking sensors. We have an all Ford fleet in an attempt to standardize on the human interface. When you have these kind of sensors, you unconsciously get used to relying on them, and when you end up in another vehicle that doesn't have them, it can really get you into trouble.

It's absolutely absurd that Ford makes this option only available on fleet sales.

I don't get it either. Have 23 Luxe Co-Pilot 360. Was stunned that it had cross alert, but no sensors. Some comments say it's not necessary but I disagree. The camera is deceiving. By the time it's red you have hit the rear object, especially with tow package.
