What did you use for drawer guides? Rollers on the bottom?

No rollers or guides, just wood on wood. The plywood is smooth enough as is, but I could wax it if it gets sticky.

I’m working on a pull out single drawer. Trimming down the one I had in the F150. Since this isn’t the beater truck, sanding down the wood and painting it. Will post pics when I’m done. Lumber is outrageous, but I do some salvaging and have quite a stockpile of reclaimed stuff that does the trick

Garage door bottom gasket from Lowes screwed to the bed posts works wonderfully to seal around tailgate, I used plumbing strap to keep the screws from pulling through the rubber but you have to stop short of the rubber bumper so still pondering how to seal at the latch.

Looks like a good camping setup as well...throw a mattress on top and you're good to go (y)
Except when you get old like me, then you would need the mattress, toilet, air conditioner, etc. LOL. That's right, it is why I bought a motor home.

You are absolutely right for you young folks.

With no one offering a truck bed drawer system yet (that I could find) I decided to build my own. About $100 worth of lumber, and now I have plenty of room to store tools, tow straps, etc without having to empty the back seats/remove car seats. Overall height is 8", so the front half of the deck sits on top of the wheel well bumps. Also leaves enough access so I can still get into the storage cubby and access the power panel.

Did you use , roller ball transfer bearings , for the drawer bottoms to reduce friction ?
Having the cap is an asset also. I like your setup.

of the several DIY versions of bed drawers I have seen on the forum I like yours the best. Roll on some paint and bedliner and it will be perfect! you did a great job, I'm going to copy yours.

Thanks - I ended putting some rubber flooring material on top and it works great

I did it too. 3 drawers but mine are different widths. I think yours look a little nicer and well built but I'm pretty sure mine are going to be fine for my use. I put a cutout in the top so I have a place to grab and pull the whole thing out to the edge of the tailgate. This is the base of a camping set up I am working on for my 2023 XL.
