Bed drawers for tools

Thank you. I based my build on one of the many YouTube videos that are already out there. Just search DIY pickup slide out tray.
I measured between the wheel wells for the base. It just sits on the bed but it's pretty snug. I then assembled the side rails/guides and back stops from 2X4s I cut to size. Measured between the side rails for the slide out. Let me know if you have any questions.
I was so glad I scored this at WM clearance isle.

What locking slides did you use and how are they holding up?

I contacted decked and they told me they weren't going to make anything for our trucks. So I decided to make my own.

Coated the top with roll on bed liner and everything else with urethane.
Used 2x8 for the side and 1/2 ply for everything else. Aluminum trim for the top outer edge. Handle from Amazon and 350lbs locking rails also from Amazon.

Let me know what you guys think.

Craftsman awesome dude. A bi level Mav Bed. When you’re not carrying your tools, what are you considering smuggling across the border you could easily fit three or four dudes in there lol. Jes kidding. Moderators.

I have the link for the rails posted somewhere on this thread. They are still holding strong. I think the wood will give out before the rails

I only saw you mention that you got them Amazon and they support 350 pounds. However, there a few brands and I would hate to buy one that doesn't hold up. So if its possible to check your Amazon history and let us know which one you purchased., that would be great.

I purchased a set of locking and a set of non locking, then put the locking rails on the right side of each drawer(this way you have to pull up on the locking latch to open the drawer).

They lock in the fully open and fully closed, so if you're parked on a incline/decline or hill they won't chop you fingers off
