Truck Bed Plug/Cap Removal for DIY Bed Rail??

Hey guys,



Does anyone know how to remove this plug/cap in the bed of the truck where the bed rail screws are supposed to go? This is preventing me from doing my own DIY Bed Rail so it will sit flush. Any help is appreciated!!

Use a thin screwdriver blade to pry it up a little, grab the edges with your fingers and turn. It takes a while to get it going. I just did this this afternoon. The plastic thing has a screw thread, at least 1/2 inch long.
