wow zero?! zero spray in liners. like none on any orders what is going on with that? why would they offer it if they knew theyd not be able to offer it on almost any of the early reservation orders. Should have just said yea you can get this but itll be late availability like that rapid red color or the plastic liner. And my priority code changed they said so it would or may be pulled soon. Well thats not coming now. If i was previewing before im not now i bet. Unless that doesnt change. I get theres a chip shortage but whats the shortage of spray in liners?

Not sure why FORD is offering something they cannot provide or placing limits. Bad business move and they will likely lose customers, especially if orders are not completed in a timely manner. Anything >3 months is unreasonable, imo.
With that rationale Ford should be losing tons of business with the production issues surrounding the Bronco. Don't see that happening anytime soon. My wife has a reservation for the Bronco, and based on her projected build, we will not see her Bronco built until late NEXT YEAR, and may not even see the car until early 2023. Does that matter? Somewhat, but we are willing to wait for what we want. That is the whole purpose of ordering your build. The Maverick will be the fourth car I have had built to order. The earliest I have received any of the first 3 builds was 75 days from order to delivery. And if you look ahead to the future, manufacturers are moving to "made to order" vehicles, with a dealer supply of stock vehicles of 60 days or less.

There was a shortage caused by that artic freeze that hit Texas. It literally broke the plant of US biggest producer of diisocyanate. That's mainly what spray liners are based off of. It also caused boat manufacturers to halt because they made resins there also. I personally was affected since I use urethane to mold small parts, manufacturer I used stopped making it, no resin supply. Just started getting supply about 4 1/2 weeks ago.

Does this list of commodities / constraints change frequently? If so, about how often?

I'm wondering because a couple of weeks ago I talked to my dealer and dropped the bed tray liner (which was constrained on his paperwork) in favor of the spray-in liner (which was not).

Now the spray-in is constrained and, apparently, the bed tray liner is not.

Could this just keep bouncing back and forth from week to week?

So do we think the spray-in bedliner that is included in the XLT & Lariat Luxury Pack is what is causing the constraint on those packages? If so, why not produce the truck with the package sans the bedliner and offer as a DIO that can be scheduled after delivery? Build the truck! I don't get builds being held up by simple accessory add-ons either. Why would you hold up a build because someone wants a tonneau cover or mudguards? Just build the truck and the dealers can handle the late arrival stuff later. Build the truck!

Jeez, it's almost like there's some sort of global commodity shortage based on a pandemic, natural disasters, a ship stuck in the busiest shipping lane in the world for a month, and unprecedented consumer demand.

Nah, that would be too crazy to believe. It's way more plausible that Ford is just screwing with people on a personal level, cuz it's fun to troll the forums.
