What percentage of your drive was city?
It was mostly highway but i have a big hilli drive down to start my trip and charge up the battery. I then coast/battery only as long as possible. Drive bak up the hill is closer to 38-40 mpg for the trip. Still fantastic on average.

My morning drive mileage is just insane.

I have a 39 mile trip I do occasionally that's about 220 feet lower altitude which about 1/2 time I can get 60-61.7 mpg... It is mostly 45-60 mph. But the return trip is usually 37-40 mpg usually done mid afternoon when hotter and the slopes are such that the ice is used over a longer time span.

Is the weather cooling down? I know heat has a negative impact on MPG as well as needing a/c

My commute to and from my office one way is 12ish miles (small hills but mostly flat 35MPH zones, outside of the city I work in) and I'm averaging 52 mpg with my Hybrid Mav.

It's easy to get short trips with good MPG. People who live on a mountain and drive down to the valley might be able to do all electric on the way down, but the way back up will more than offset that.

This is the best I’ve seen on my truck. Mostly country roads drive to work. This is with climate control off and all the windows open

My parents and in-laws both live ~25 miles from us, in totally opposite directions but both a about half highway and half streets. Parents are downhill there and uphill back, in-laws are the inverse. We're usually averaging 70-75mpg downhill and ~55mpg uphill for both of them. Wife's MWF all-highway commute (~45 miles round trip) is killing our average (currently 49.5mpg after ~3400 miles).

My commute is the opposite. Bottom of a valley, road goes up the grade, then workplace well after that. I tend to get 30-40 MPG on the way there depending on the battery and power, and then anywhere from 50-70 MPG on the way back. So more realistically 45-50 MPG total? I am very careful with throttle, try and minimize braking or stops in my route planning, and go so far as to cut the AC as well when I can. It might just be my experience but the hybrid performs better in cooler weather as well.

Had this yesterday after 19 miles the last 1.5 or so miles was down hill so I pushed the L button at 50mph and kept needle in the charge zone to where I pulled in for pit stop after which I drove the attached 1.8 miles
