Just for kicks, I figured I'd hit up Ford chat this afternoon for a status update on my order. Mind you, my original order was Jan. 25, I've seen absolutely no movement so far and my dealer basically told me about three weeks ago that I would be pushed to MY23. Last week, he told me I was 20th out of 21 unscheduled orders at the dealership in terms of order date.

Well, imagine my SHOCK when the customer service rep gave me a VIN, a build week of Nov. 7 and an expected delivery date of Dec. 7. I certainly won't be surprised if there are some additional delays, but the mere possibility of getting my truck by Christmas is amazing. I am not sure it's quite sunk in yet, TBH.

My dealer is Koch 33 Ford in Easton, Pa., and the details of my build specs are Ecoboost XLT, LUX, FX4, 4K Tow, Hot Pepper Red with Full-Size Spare. FWIW, I am sure glad I did not remove the LUX package from order!

Oh, my VIN ends with B11,5XX. So, looks like Ford is up to more than 111,000 Mavericks to be produced.

I'll keep you all posted...

Congrats! Yours being a late order Ecoboost and still getting a build date, despite being 20 out of 21 unscheduled at your dealership, would suggest that many of those that were "ahead of you" in that queue were hybrids. I suspect that means they are running very low on hybrid components and shifting toward EBs for those end of the MY22 production slots.

Of course, it's a bit of a big jump based on this one anecdotal event, but I guess we'll see...

Well, about six week ago I also specifically requested that my dealer move me from Priority 19 to Priority 10. He agreed. Not sure what role, if any, that played, but it is at least possible that I "jumped the line" at my dealer if he left all the other orders at 19 and I was at 10. Or, at least jumped some of them...

Congratulations!!!

I did not realize Ford Mav Plant was going to be building '22's into November.

Will Ford attempt to build 22 and 23 MYs side-by-side...through year 2478?

Let's hope not! In fact, 11/7 is supposed to be very LAST week of MY22 production. So, I have kind of mixed emotions about that. On the one hand, I am protected at my MY22 price, and should also be able to take advantage of the 1.9 percent for 60 months interest rate in effect at the time of my order.

On the other hand, everyone getting a truck build just a few days after me will be getting a MY23.

All in all, after waiting more than 8 months just to get scheduled, I'll take it! MY23 will have a few improvements, I'm sure, but a Maverick in hand (or at least scheduled) at MSRP is worth two in the bush!

I kind of agree! I saw many January orders with my same specs get scheduled as far back as February, while folks who ordered last June and July are STILL waiting.
Well, you know what the Bible says: ".....the first shall be last, and the last shall be first" ;)
