We should be given the option to take the better of the deals:

3% under NEW invoice
Price-protected original MSRP

But I don't think that's an option.

But I didn't order at MSRP, I ordered at 3% under invoice, as I explained. Dealership shouldn't profit from an increased price from Ford but I understand they shouldn't loose money either and bye honoring my ordered deal they are not loosing any money, they just aren't making more.

It sounds like you are going to have to walk away from the order or try to be happy with $3,000 off the CURRENT MSRP. And I get your frustration but there is no recourse here either.

I’ve been watching Mavericks drive around my neighborhood for months that ordered locally for MSRP. So now I’ve waited way over a year to end up paying the same and also pay travel to go get the vehicle.

What would be fair is to have the price protection that is honored by FORD and the exact $ discount initially offered on the configured vehicle. In my case is $1662. I do not expect anything other than that.

Yes, that is an issue. If the 3% under invoice deal ends up being the exact same as the original MSRP, that is going to have made this an enormous waste of time. Did I miss it or did the thread from @Dealerinsider not mention this? He had to have known that prices regularly increase during the model year and he should have disclosed that price protection and his 3% under invoice deal couldn't be combined up front.

Looks like Chapman Horsham added a disclaimer to their emails sometime in 2022 stating that they are not honoring price protection and the 3 or 4% discount would be based on invoice pricing at delivery. For most of us who ordered in 2021, this disclaimer was not present, and as such the discount should be based on the original ordered invoice since Ford is price protecting that amount.

I believe for many they are still offering price protection on the original invoice that was ordered before the new disclaimer. Obviously, for new 2023 orders going forward, we can't complain since it is disclosed. Do I agree with it, no, but they are a private business who are still offering discounts with ordered vehicles while with others your luck to get MSRP and possibly price protected?

Agreed. If my Horsham order does not get scheduled, and I am able to take my special private offer elsewhere, I will happily forgo the "priority" placement and move the order elsewhere. They should not have decided that after hybrid ordering was closed.

I'm still going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I’d still be reluctant to do that out of concern for a super long wait behind many of the new orders. Even with all the frustrations, I expect there will be a LOT of new orders.

Regarding the price protection, in at least one other thread people reported varying experiences regarding price protection at Horsham. Seems that some got it, and some didn’t. In my case (still unscheduled) the doc fees at Horsham are half of the ones in my own state, and even if I don’t get price protection, the 3% off invoice at time of delivery will still be under MSRP. Not a hill I’m going to die on, but your mileage may vary.

I don't see how these two things are related - the price protection and the deal. The price protection is from Ford themselves, the under-invoice deal is from Chapman. Those two things should not be mutually exclusive.
I did not get price protection. It was 4% under final invoice. The latest MSRP at the time of delivery then 4% under invoice. No price protection. Somehow, I did receive the finance deal from when I ordered, 1.9% for 60 months. I showed have received price protection AND 4% under invoice for that MSRP, with the finance deal. I think it was accounting "magic". They did get the price protection .money from Ford, which they kept and the $800 difference from the deliver MSRP and order MSRP.
Let me know if you need any more clarification on how these two are not related, but they are, but I am not an accountant.

The 3% under invoice is better than the original MSRP. I talked to my "accountant" friend. That's why I am driving a Maverick.

I’m honestly not 100% sure what you are trying to say. But the gist is the deal you got was better than the original MSRP, but you agree it should all have been included. We agree on this point as I don’t know how the two are related.

I won’t need it anytime soon. I will probably move it to Granger. I probably would have done that originally if I had known that Chapman didn’t actually have a presence on this forum. I was new to the forum and saw they had a thread, but they don’t actually maintain any presence like LM and Granger. You can’t even get a straight answer from Chapman. No excuse.

A big part of the reason I ordered from Chapman was they at least initially did have a presence on this forum - @Dealerinsider posted regularly and was very open with numbers - allocations, how many were scheduled vs. unscheduled, etc. It was really surprising to me that Tom just stopped posting altogether - I do wonder if there had been some blowback from the region that he was being "too open" with info about "confidential" numbers.

While Tim @fordvideoguy has been an exception, a godsend to all us info-starved folks, it's surprising to me that other than Granger every other dealer seems to treat this stuff like Top Secret information (including Ed at Chapman-Philly - back in Oct I asked him this question: "how many orders do you have in the queue that would be ahead of me, and what's your dealership's monthly allotment for Mavericks?", and his response was "that information is confidential and I am not allowed to discuss it per our dealer agreement").

At that point for me it was down to Horsham or Long-McArthur, and I initially started the order process with both at the same time. At the time, I couldn't get an answer from the L-M salesman on the drop-ship process, whereas I knew I could easily drive up to Horsham (I'm in Northern VA) and pick one up there. Combined with the 3% under invoice (I missed the 4% deal), it made sense for me to just place the order at Horsham.

If I'd known then, I would have completed the L-M order process as well and just kept the one that came first, although given my late order date (Oct 26) and constraints, I think I'd still be rolling over at both dealerships.

I tried to get an answer from Ashlie on this and her reply was that we would have to see what the truck was invoiced for once it was at the dealership.

I am going to stop trying to get an answer and see, but I am definitely moving the order form Horsham if it doesn’t get scheduled. Once I do that I will tell Ashlie what I actually think of their BS - and I don’t mean Bronco Sport,
