Do active grill shutters come on hybrid or only on 2.0 with tow package?

I took this picture, that is my bus. lmao. I like the yellow as its is very metallic, but the flake is gold at best. If the flake was purple would you call the color purple?It is orange, the metallic does not translate well in pics, neither does cactus grey. it looks more bluish in pics rather than what you actually see. The color brochures are way off on some colors also.
A school bus is not metallic so that is not a good way to compare.
Its slighty orange until you put anything orange next to it.To me, the Mav looks orange.. not orange, orange but more of an orange juice colored orange
Being from South Carolina, I guess I should say it is definitely not Clemson orange!Its slighty orange until you put anything orange next to it.![]()

It also has to do with the lighting. Cactus Grey in bright sunlight looks like a flat grey (sort of the color of a filing cabinet) but in the shade, and in evening hours, you definitely see the green.So you are agreeing with me that metallic does not translate well. School Bus Yellow is not yellow-yellow either, it moves toward orange. It all has to do with color temperature, not the name commonly know as school bus yellow.

Are you talking to me or HPR. If you are talking to me, You are preaching to the choir if you are talking to me. Look at the full thread of the exchange between the 2 of us.. I am saying the same thing you are concerning the orange color of the Maverick.It also has to do with the lighting. Cyber Orange is the same way. Are you going to tell me this Bronco doesn't look orange?

Sorry, I was responding to the thread in general. My bad!Are you talking to me or HPR. If you are talking to me, You are preaching to the choir if you are talking to me. Yellow has a very narrow spectrum while orange has a broader spectrum. A school bus encroaches on the orange spectrum but is called yellow. If you take a look at a yellow Mustang that is a real yellow![]()

Our escape did close them to warm upI could be wrong on this but i believe the active shutters in the grill only close at a certain speed to help to direct airflow for gas mileage. Not to help warm up. At least that was the case with my hybrid Tahoe.
Check out the attached photo - all trims have the Shark Fin with Whip.Zoom in on those pix, shark fin only, no whip antenna visible.
Do that math with the hybrids 2.81s!~100 higher RPM w/ 3.81 (4k tow) vs 3.63 (standard) @ 75 MPH
Math used:
RPM = MPH * overall gear ratio * 336 / tire diameter
RPM = 75 MPH * 3.63 (final) * .62 (8th gear) * 336 / 28.5 (225/65R17 diameter)
Standard RPM @ 75 MPH = 1990
RPM = 75 MPH * 3.81 (final) * .62 (8th) * 336/28.5
4k Tow RPM @ 75 MPH = 2090
That is great news as I am also 5' 9". I have a Honda Fit and and have to fall in while leaning to the right and then pull my legs in as I am old and you know the joints aren't what they used to be. Good to know that I can just sit down in the Maverick.I have a Honda Insight as my Daily driver and also a Toyota Sequoia. The Insight I have to fall down into and climb up to extract myself from it. The Sequoia I have to climb up into and climb down. to get out of. To get into and out of the Maverick I just sit down and stand up. I am 5'9" and the process is totally effortless.
Once I have mine, I don't care if they cancel it. I would love for the color to be rarer and uncommon. It's one of the reason I am getting Cyber Orange. I like to be unique. And it's so striking in person, on a sunny day. It just straight up glows. It's glorious!Still loving the Cyber Orange. Really hope it sticks around a few years and isn't cancelled for lack of sales.
a crappy orange but yes. lol. according this chart its yellow.It also has to do with the lighting. Cactus Grey in bright sunlight looks like a flat grey (sort of the color of a filing cabinet) but in the shade, and in evening hours, you definitely see the green.
