So I spoke with a Service Representative today at Ford. I basically was wanting to find out if I could score a gift card like others have said that they have by calling Ford Service. (Spoiler Alert: I DID!) I explained that my original build was in July last year, that my dealer completed my order in September last year, that I was given my first build week for May, then 3 different weeks in June (once receiving a "IN PRODUCTION" notification) that was now delayed until the last week of July. He was somewhat sheepish when he told me that my date had been rolled back to August 1. He explained that the plant was shut down for three weeks which caused further delays. I am never quite sure how much what the person on the other side of the line actually knows about what is really happening but he did tell me something VERY INTERESTING!

Apparently, if you do not receive your vehicle within one year of your original request - FORD gives you a $1000 certificate. If you get it in 364 days...no money. 365 days $1000 - he specifically stated this example! I was unable to get any kind of link or email verification, but the representative (named "Daniel") was quite certain that I would get this certificate since my original request was in July and my build week is now August 1. If anyone else knows about this, I would love to hear any further details.

...and I got a $100 gift certificate for Ford Merchandise in my email.

That would be news to some of these people around here who are taking delivery past the year mark. I would take what he said with a very tiny grain of salt.

I am skeptical, but he was pretty adamant....and at least I got the $100 gift card! So if it is BS at least I got paid to listen.

Oh yeah, the $100 was worth the call. I was just saying I don't think he's correct about that $1,000, but it would be a nice surprise.

I gave them a call today too... I got pushed back another week to 8/15. when I asked what Ford was doing for customers having to wait this long and having the production dates constantly moving he took about a minute to check something and then told me he can offer me the $100 merchandise gift card.....

.... reset the clock back to 5 weeks and counting... again... LOL

You might call and talk to someone at Ford Customer Service. Ask about what are they going to do since you are over a year. You propably will get a gift card for their merchandise, and maybe you confirm what "Daniel" told me.

At this point, I would prefer waiting for a 2023 and a guarantee that their “special discount” means they are protecting my 2022 price quote. Also, when I gave my deposit 10/30/21, they were offering 3 years 0% interest. Hmm! I wonder what will happen to that

A 1k check would be nice but don't count on it. I am a short timer so far 7 months feel bad for people who waired over a year! I will most likely get pushed to a 23. Was hoping they would honor the price I was given. Something called a private offer sounds like a gimmick. But even with that I still expect the cost on my order not to be honored. And when the 23 MY starts the whole charade starts again.

He said that it would be available after the vehicle is produced after a year of waiting. This would be available to the dealership upon delivery to the dealer from someone at Ford (maybe the regional rep?)....or something like that. I pursued this point asking for any link or document that would identify this and he implied that everything about this was internal and was not connected to my account before my build had passed the year mark.

My dealer honored the 3 year 0% interest, but I did get per approved when my deposit was placed.

Someone asked Tim that question tonight, not sure if it was you. He said he never heard of it. I guess we'll see sooner or later if someone gets one.

Would be nice if he (Tim) checked it out. It would be more credible if he were to tell us this as opposed to "Daniel" who answers phones at Ford.
