My hybrid XLT order was confirmed June 17th of last year. It has now been held in my city for over a week. I purchased comprehensive insurance for it last week Wednesday as my Ford dealer said it would be delivered by then or they would pick it up for me the following day. But according to the email correspondence my salesman shared with me Thursday there is a Ford hold on my vehicle that is keeping it from being released to the dealership. There are no recalls associated with my vin, which is what my salesman said was his best guess. I understand that there are constraints across all industries causing delays, but being so close after so long and being left in the dark is a bit destressing. Does anyone know what the reason could be for a Ford hold at the distribution center?

Ordered 6-19-21 and it’s built but sitting in a train yard for weeks waiting to get delivered to my dealer. It’s a sucky process but from what the people I know that have them it worth it good luck.
We ordered in June of 21 as well (XLT with hybrid engine) and it came in late March 22 to our dealer. We picked it up the first week of April. For anyone who hasn't gotten theirs yet, if you can it is definitely worth the wait. The wife loves it (it is hers), I love driving it as well, and the gas mileage at 49-50 mpg mixed driving is amazing. It is a great compliment to our 2012 F-150, and takes a lot of the load off the latter.

I wonder if its due to the battery/ecu harness that is leaving some Mavs- DOA ?

Ordered hybrid XLT with luxury and 360 From Long McArthur and Ford confirmed 7-10-21. Received a VIN and build date of 6-27-22 Over 2 months ago. Called to see if I’m getting build this week and now they are telling me build date 8-15-22. That from dealer and ford customer service. That means probably not receiving truck until October. I realize there are constraints but I’ve seen many trucks with the same constraints that people already are driving that ordered months later than I did. Probably no sweat off Ford but I will never buy any new Fords after this fiasco and I’ve bought plenty new Fords over the years. Is anyone else still waiting on a June or July order?

Why did you put an insurance policy on a vehicle that you don't own? Call your agent and fix that...

I certainly understand your frustration. Mine took 6 months but so far I think it was well worth the wait. It's odd that others ordering a similar truck got ahead of you but you may want to check the priority the dealer assigned it. I also ordered an XLT, awd, 2.0 w/tow and understand nothing on the truck presented a significant back order.

I read that GM has 90,000+ vehicles they can't deliver waiting for chips.

Depending on trip range and such, you'll love an electric. It's freaking amazing paying a fraction of the cost to fuel and only having to go to a "gas station" when on road trips.
Since I drive 90%+ around town, an electric makes great sense for me. In today's world, the Maverick would be used for long trips, Lowes, Home Depot and the electric for the daily driver. I only average around 5K miles a year overall. In the future, should charging become faster and more convenient on a road trip, then I'd consider owning an electric only. A fully electric Maverick?

. Hybrid XLT LUX ordered 7/21…still no vin. Frustrating to read of identical constrained vehicles being delivered with much later order dates. Hope the Maverick proves to be a good vehicle worth the wait. Previously owned 2 other FoMoCo hybrids…a Fusion and Lincoln MKZ. Both were excellent and dependable cars that influenced my ordering the Mav. Wait times were under 45 days for both of those cars but that was in 2014 and 2019. My how times have changed

Are you sure you had an approved order? Did you ask your dealer to show you the COVP approval?

Yes. Everything is good to go. Been at priority 2 for months. Thought Ford was disregarding dealer allocations but apparently not the case. Ordered through a small dealer with less than 20 orders. Has so far only received one hybrid. Think they’ve delivered all the Eco’s that were ordered.

There is no excuse for an order as old as yours, 100% entered properly, sitting at PC2.. to not have a scheduled date.

Have you checked with Ford Chat to see if maybe it is schedule for a build week?
