Me too, ordered my hybrid July 27th and it has been built, shipped, and is on some kind of "plant hold" in Salt Lake City for the last three weeks. What the heck is a plant hold.
Mine has been in this same “Delay, Plant-hold” status at the final ramp, 2.5 hours from my dealer for 3.5 weeks, so I’m there with you. No idea why it’s on there. The customer service team tell me to ask my dealer for more info, my dealer says he can’t get any more info and isn’t sure why it’s on there.

Hopefully, it’s just a convoy scheduling delay, but it may be something to do with the battery or something else needing to be added or worked on before they can release it to the dealer.

what’s your ETA window?/ has it been pushed back yet?

If you are that mad, why buy this one? Move along
He hasn't bought it yet.... or if does he may just play the markup game and make a profit on it.

I ordered a 1978 Ford Ranger F100 and was so happy when it was delivered. It had a 302 with auto transmission and short bed. Then the nightmare began. The dealer could not figure out why the truck would pull away from stop signs and traffic lights sometimes and stall at other times. After 17k miles I said never again and traded it in on a Toyota and never looked back until last June. Most of us tend to never forget but sometimes we get a brain fart and forget how FORD treated us.

My son ordered his over a year ago. Turns out he let me buy it when it came in last week. It's perfect and I personally think will be the #1 seller at some point soon. Just waiting on aftermarket wheels before I post a picture. Steel wheels are a special kind of ugly, :p

I saw an XL owner on this site paint thier steel wheels black with silver center caps. Looks much better.

Another option may be to perhaps pick up some OEM wheels off of Ebay. I've done that several times over the years and got some OEM wheels in excellent condition. I wouldn't even mess with aftermarket wheels unless they were high quality ones like BBS or such. I've seen Audi and BMW owners with cheap crap wheels like Sport edition on thier cars, Lol. They are not made to the quality standards like OEM or more expensive aftermarket wheels and you have to use spacers to get a proper fit.

Another thing to watch out for is re-manufactured wheels where a company takes used OEM wheels and chemically strips them down and repaints them to look like new. If the company does not paint them correctly though .....Grrrrr! I got some remans for my Escape and the paint started just chipping off easily in spots from any gravel or road debris. Wasted my money. They must not have painted them correctly and I ended up paying $800 for a new OEM set from the dealer. Not saying all reman wheels are bad, just buy from a seller with a good reputation if that is the route you go.

Bought a brand new 1984 Bronco II 4WD. Really fit the bill with young kids and a small boat and pop-up camper to pull. Inside 6 months the water pump went. By 50k miles the headliner was down and the paint was peeling. Was ready for a new clutch too so I went back to the dealer to trade. They lowballed me and I wound up buying a Chevy and swore I'd never buy a Ford again. Well...the Maverick sits in my driveway for 6 months now and I'm hoping it's the last truck I buy. So far I'm thoroughly pleased with it. Once I pay it off It may be time to consider an electric vehicle. Never say never I guess.

Yep, ordered a Hybrid XLT w/ Lux and sunroof June 25, 2021. I've tried to be patient but a year is a long wait.
Yeah the allocation nonsense is BS- You should be enjoying your Maverick right now- I feel for folks affected by Fords mental hopscotch-

Depending on trip range and such, you'll love an electric. It's freaking amazing paying a fraction of the cost to fuel and only having to go to a "gas station" when on road trips.
