Just received this email for my Nov 4 hybrid xlt order. Going to the dealer on Friday to discuss. I'm not going to lie the discount for changing to 2023 better be significant, not only is there likely going to be a price jump for 2023, rising interest rates for financing adds more $. Think I'm going to test drive a Santa Cruz next week.
Fwiw you’ll still be eligible for the promotional APR Ford was offering at the time you ordered if you finance with Ford.

Ford Maverick This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders CFE34C3D-0899-4087-9488-64D6F1FFDA9F_1_105_c

I bailed three weeks ago, at my wife's urging, and bought a truck that actually exists. Way more money, but no regrets (of course, payments start in July...).

Got the "We have now reached a point where there is a strong likelihood we will be unable to produce your Maverick order within these constraints" email today from Furd's "Customer Relationship Center."

Surprise, surprise.

That is a very nice truck, may think about that also

I get the frustration that many have about the significant delays and poor communication by Ford. It sucks.

But, the one thing that keeps me here waiting (as patiently as I can) into 2023 if needed, is that there is no other hybrid or truck that I can buy at close to this price, or even at MSRP at all- not in California anyway.

Ford is one of the only brands that does customer orders. Even if I wanted to buy a hybrid RAV4, Tucson, CRV, etc. I would be paying $5k over MSRP to get it. There is not an option to order and wait for it an agreeable price.

Eventually there is a limit. We can’t all wait forever, but for now I’m still hoping to get the deal I signed up for, a:

1.) cheap
2.) hybrid
3.) truck

Cancelling my 2022 and getting a 2023! $hit happens but I don’t want to drop the packages I want.

Well said, your absolutely right and there lies the crutch of the situation. Barring money, fuel efficiency, and pure stupid pride, many would have already bailed. Ford knows this and that’s why they pulled out that big ol’ spoon of castor oil for us to swallow with the promise of a little sugar on the backend, if we’re good little boys & girls and bare it.

We did the same. Got a Black Edition in sonic gray pearl. Way more money, but at least it was MSRP, not some some crazy $5K-$10K ADM that lots of Ford dealers are asking for Mavericks. Put down $500 deposit, and got it about 3 weeks later.

So if we didn't get an email, we are definitely getting the truck this year? I chatted with Ford just a few minutes ago and was told its "in order processing" with no VIN. Does this mean its being built soon? To be honest, I think I would rather have the 2023 Maverick now.

No disrespect but that Honda (and I am a Honda guy) just doesn’t do it for me. Same for the Hyundai Santa Cruz

Dude, you live in Alabama? The Ridgeline is *built* there!

It's a much bigger, much more sophisticated vehicle, with all the good and not-so good that entails. It was about $15K more than a similarly-equipped Maverick. Gotta say, it sure is nice.

Hurts to say, but I think the Mrs. was right...

Walked into the Honda dealership, left the same day with a great truck (RTL-E) at MSRP, with a pretty good trade-in on the blue roller skate Corolla. I needed a better tow vehicle for our teardrop trailer than a 12 year old Rav4, and it has proved itself, getting 18.2 mpg hauling a 1500# trailer from Denver to Vail and back without breaking a sweat.

where are you getting this from? I called ford multiple times with that questions and they aren’t aware of that.

Wasn't impressed with the Santa Cruz, either. Nice ride, nice styling, but the hitch is a complete afterthought, and *NO* seven-pin trailer connector!
