Not sure what you mean, but the big clear plastic overflow tank, front compartment was completely empty. Rear section looked ok which I’m guessing is battery or Ev coolant?
Right. I thought I read Upper and Lower in the manual...or I could have just made it up! Mine was what you described. Rear one was fine, front one was empty.

The front reservoir one, atleast if you have issue with the block heater. Mine was completely empty.

here some photos taken today.

the top mark is when they fixed the block heater.. the guy filled almost an inch above the max line.

the second mark (from the top was few days ago)
the last mark at the bottom is today.. its been like that for the last 150 miles

so yea, i hope it's just pocket air and the issue is fixed.

the second photo is the AC plug, to find the location of the block heater just follow that line…

and the third photo is the area where the block heater is but its way down, you can't see it from that angle.. you have to remove the manifold and to drop down a bunch of stuff including the catalytic. It takes hours for a pro.
my maverick sits in a heated garage, i don't even need a block heater. Wondering if i should just get rid of that.

Are not engine block heaters dealer installed? I know they used to be. I once had a full coolant blowout on my second Ranger the third day I owned it. Dumped all the coolant onto the ground at a UPS terminal construction site. Their enviro people were not happy. Huge puddle under the truck. Apparently the dealer just stuck the heater in hand tight and even forgot to connect the wiring. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I was not laughing at the time though. LOL.
When ordering, my dealership said only the factory installs engine block heaters…

Wonder if this is a Canadian only issue, never had a block heater nor know of anyone who has it.
They aren't as common in the US unless it's maybe a diesel in the northern states that get pretty cold. For some vehicles in Canada they're standard equipment. Usually aren't necessary for cold starting on a gas vehicle, but on a hybrid they can be useful for efficiency since it means electric drive is available sooner. You can option it on a US Maverick but it wasn't advertised on the build tool initially.

The part number is the same for hybrid or ecoboost apparently, #6A051, the same item number but different prices. Confusing???
Don't 100% trust the Ford parts website on cross-capability. The part numbers are frequently truncated. So one engine could be XXXX-6A051-AA and another XXXX-6A051-BB or -AB.

You're thinking of the old block design. It's been updated/fixed. Right now the hybrid motors see ' m l to be the duds. Also, there are two plants for the 2.0L ecoboost motor, fortunately the ecoboost in the Maverick is made in the Valencia Spain plant which has always been rock solid for quality. The 2.0L engines made in the Cleveland plant have been the unreliable problem ridden motors.
Where are the Ecoboost engines built that are going into the North American Mavericks?

So 2 weeks for the part? That's brutal, was driving it and topping it up every few days ever explored as an option? I can't go 2 weeks right now, got dirt bike trips planned, ugh

They told me two weeks. It'll be one week tomorrow. I feel like two is optimistic.

even after they repaired (replaced) the block heater, my coolant reservoir is still dropping about 1/3 of an inch every hundred miles..

i used my points to buy some of their concentrate coolant and added some to the reservoir.

The problem is i don't have the time to bring my hybrid maverick back to the dealer again. Last time, they refused to let me go home with it.

Im affraid that this time they may find another leak.. like the heat exchanger or something. Its going to take them weeks if not months to fix especially if they replace the entire engine.

i rather add some coolant every couple of days than having to drive a crappy loaner. Anyway, next weeks i have a couple of days off i might try a different dealer and see.

as for the leak, i can't find it. No puddle, no smell , nothing.. the level just slowly dropping.

I haven't heard a peep about my truck since last Wednesday, but I'll mention that issue to the service guys so it's on their radar.

I'll try to report back on my findings whenever I get my truck back.

If you can't find a leak and there is no evident puddle or drops under the truck, it might have a failed head gasket and the coolant is leaking into a combustion chamber. If this is the case, you may notice white smoke from the tailpipe, also, it may be obvious by pulling the plugs and inspecting them.

Good luck.

Check your oil too. Surely a dealership would do that but you never know.
