I didn't get the rail car number. That's what I was calling the dealer for. Is there another way to get the rail car number?
I got mine through ford chat

My maverick was delivered to NC about two months ago. Virtually certain it came by rail but my dealer was never able to give me a railcar number. At one point, his tracking did say it was in Nogales (on the border) and then later in St. Louis, before ultimately arriving here.

I bet you love being able to "see the sea" from your house. Did you wave to my truck? Did it look orange or yellow?

Beautiful shade of yellow.

In all seriousness, from Sea, to rail, to highway, you’re much closer to realizing your delivery and for that, congratulations!

I'm thinking the same Tim. Why don't we meet up in Dallas, and carpool the rest of the way to Hermosillo. Then we can drive our trucks back and tell Ford we're not paying the $1,500 destination fee.

Sadly, I think mine is already on a boat, or a cart with an ox, or tied to a donkey who's going to pull it the whole way to NC. :)

(Disclaimer - No, no, no! I don't really believe Mexico still uses oxen or donkeys to transport goods...I'm really making fun of Ford for using the slowest possible transportation method possible.)
Okay!

I thought all the Slow Boats came from China, not Mexico. :)

Let's hope it does not suffer the same fate as the Felicity Ace!

I texted my salesman to get the rail car # for my truck, and she said it's on a boat and is expected at my dealer in NC by 6/27-7/3. By boat?!?! Hermosillo is on the West coast of Mexico. They'd have to go through the Panama Canal and come all the way around Florida.

Does anyone know if they're boating them to California, Texas, or Louisiana, and then sending them by rail or truck carrier, or if they're shipping them all the way to Florida, Georgia, SC, NC, or Virginia?

With a 4-5 week destination date, it makes me think they're floating it all the way here. I'm thrilled it's on the way but sad that it's still 4-5 weeks away.
4/5 weeks is about average from what I've read, mine got to my dealer yesterday NY LI , picking it up tomorrow after 8 month wait for a eco,awd,fx4,lux,4k tow, rear window and full spare. It was a long wait but finally happening.

Congrats!!

If mine takes 4-5 weeks, I‘ll be a member of the 365 club (aka the 1 year club). I suppose there are a lot worse things in life.

Be prepared, I live in socal and my dealer told me 4-5 weeks and it was here and ready for me in 3 weeks. Dealers get lots of orders delivered at the same time and they have to do their own once over before it can leave the lot.

I picked up my truck yesterday 4 weeks so lets say 3/4 to 5 weeks there waiting for a full load at the rail yard, or boat yard?. Picked it up in a thunder storm. only drove 4/5 miles, it reminds me of my old Ranger I had back in the 90s, seats were very comfy and surprised how much power it had. Put my FORD tonneau tri-fold cover on and my Ford matts in I had for weeks waiting for the truck, got 20% off on Ford site, installed both in about 5 min. The cover is plenty long enough not like the roll up its too short.. Going to pick up some black seam sealer today and caulk 4 seams were it could leak according to the Real truck video I watched. Put a new rear seat cover on for my dog, it has orange trim on it and matches the XLT trim, she loves the sliding rear window its a bargain at $115, Its smaller than it looks in photos but OK, took off the center head rest so she could get her head almost out, now I don't have to freeze my ass off in winter because she has to have a open window. Today I will give it a good run have lots of errands to run, picking up 2x6x10 54.25 board at home depo so groceries don't flop around in the bed.

Hi WJohnm, which dealer? I ordered from Riverhead Ford after Smithtown and Sayville Ford wanted over sticker. Levittown Ford was sticker but insisted on financing through them at 7%. This was in October when interest was around 2.5% and I believe Ford had 0%/36, .9%/48, 1.9%/60.

Hassett ford in Wantagh, see John Descul what a pleasure to deal with, I have bought 12/15 new vehicles in my 71 years and this was my best experience. Ordered in October at sticker 200 fee and no BS. Picked up yesterday, 8 months later not their fault that's on FORD, but its OK had another vehicle and wanted a loaded truck so I was willing to wait. I was going in to dealer loaded for bear though they would add something to cost like I been reading they Had everything ready at original price and 1.9 rate back in October. everyone was friendly and award wining dealer. AM hoping there service is as good as their sales team because I buy a vehicle about every 3 years and they have my business. I had a friend at Sayville years a go bought 3 trucks from him used to drop for service and take his car so never delt with service he took care of everything he moved away never went back. I also went to Levittown first because there closer to me and back in October they wanted sticker and fees, didn't feel comfortable, sales people couldn't take a piss without talking to sales manager. BTW I have 40 years dealer experience I worked for BMW/MB, am retired now, I know a good dealer when I see one. I don't know their pricing now I ordered back in OCT.
But I say they are honest family owned dealer. See John tell him I sent you......
