Upgrade 2K to 4K tow?

How invasive are you willing to go? Because the full 4k features would involve removing the transmission and rear diff to change the final drive gearing.
Whatcha thinking on the price?

not possible at this point. you would have to at minimum (that if you have a awd) get re-geared then get the computer/transmission reprogramed for the new gear ratio. This is not a jeep. not a lot of aftermarket support.

How about after purchase?
First, I would advise you to find out if it can even be done. The dealer may say "sorry, no dice."

Assuming it can be done, you would need a parts advisor to determine and price out all the required parts. I suspect there are more parts required than those disclosed in the 4K Tow Package.

For example, perhaps the bigger radiator and fan requires a larger fan shroud and larger coolant overflow container, which perhaps requires larger hoses to flow more coolant. Maybe the tow package also requires various brackets, supports or reinforcements that are added during manufacturing. Dunno. The point is there are likely some unknowns that may require more parts and labor than anticipated.

Next, have the dealer quote the required book hours for labor and multiply by their shop rate, plus tax and shop supplies.

All-in price for parts and labor? I have no guess, but it sure sounds expensive.

My feeling is It's just not practical to add tow packages to most vehicles after they're built.

Yours're better off to buy another Mav and sell your current vehicle OR buy another truck (Ranger, DudChevy, etc.)

Changing the 2K to 4K now is too much Time, Money and Stress!!

If you have a Tremor you already have the Trans cooler, and the correct Final Drive gearing. The only things needed would be the larger Rad, brake controller and stiffer springs. Not sure if the larger Rad would fit behind the Tremor designed front fasica, could install air bags in the rear coils to take care if the weight.

That dual clutch locker is not rated to tow more than 2200LBS if so equipped.
