Is Dealer Getting Shady ?

Suposed to pick up my truck tomorrow. I have a copy of the window sticker but the dealer is telling me on the phone he had to make sure it’s correct and that the price increases didn’t make the total different.

It is possible that you have one of those honest dealers. He may be correct and the window sticker MSRP is more than the price when you ordered. He may be talking about correcting the price increase shown and giving you the protected price of your original order.

That is not possible. You don't get the options if it's not on the sticker.

Maybe just a funny way of saying how he is verifying your order vs the actual truck. Give him the benefit of doubt until he proves otherwise.

The sticker should reflect the price increases. I can’t remember the date those went into effect but if you added on items after the price increases then I believe those would not be price protected to your original order date.

My dealer also checked the internal computer stuff about the price after it arrived and I had driven it. And it matched the sticker. It's kind of a reasonable thing to do with an order that is 9 months old.

Your truck is Price Protected from Ford all trucks ordered before December are covered, The dealer will get reimbursed by Ford for the difference on the window sticker not you

My sticker changed as well by a little over $300. I pointed it out to them and they confirmed with my order and adjusted to the original amount with no issue at all. Hopefully yours does the right thing.

If it helps, my sticker price shows 31,800. I picked up my truck on Friday and my price was what we talked about back in July, 30,300, due to xplan and price protection.

Happy ending. The dealer was not shady. Paid price-protected MSRP and nothing more. Didn't try to hit me up with any garbage charges either. Jan 2022 ordered every constraint imaginable except hybrid and he got me the truck somehow. I know there's hate on here for Tacomas but I'm keeping mine. Good luck getting AAL's, lift coils and shocks and 33's on the Mav. Not gonna happen

I was happy to read a recent Google review for my dealer from a customer who ordered a Bronco from them and did not get hit with a surprise markup on delivery. Hopefully that holds true for me
