If you had a chance to order again what would you change?

Nothing! Velocity Blue Hybrid XL. Getting 44 mpg (at 500 driven miles). So far I've installed FORD Maverick front and rear Floor Mats, FORD front and rear Mud Flaps, FORD Maverick Bed Mat (have factory SIBL) Truxedo Pro X15 roll up Tonneau Cover (canvas not vinyl) and fabricated a shield to keep debris from being thrown up into the drivers side rear fender area. I've got cruise control switches to pick up at the dealer along with the tail gate electric lock and wire harness. Love the XL interior colors and Dealer (Pundmann Ford) sold under MSRP. How can I do better?

No changes for me. Ordered exactly what I wanted. I knew there would be a wait.

Only trepidation for me is never owned or even driven a hybrid type vehicle. So I hope I like it.

Although I worked in Electric vehicle early 90's at Ford. No hybrids though.

You will be fine. I’ve driven everything under the sun. I recommend not judging it for the first week. When first driving a hybrid there can be an adjustment period. I think you will love it after that.

Since I’m still not scheduled I made my changes. Added a hitch and rear sliding window back in January. Otherwise tons of aftermarket stuff I want.

Memory seats would be nice in later years. That way I can add it to mine.

I would have ordered Lariat in August if the pictures of that interior weren't so hideous on Fords website. Saw in person in October and changed from XLT to Lariat and got pushed back a few months.

Nothing besides adding the copilot 360 package. That’s a handy package.

Not sure I'd change anything... mainly due to the options availible come with too many things I don't want/need. Example, Lux means even more electronics.

I agree, I would have ordered 2 as well. An XL AWD with nothing but a hitch to get quick and drive it until the one I really want comes in. Sell the XL and make a few grand toward the purchase of my XLT.

I probably would have ordered sooner than 3 days prior to the order shut off in late January of this year but other than that I think I ordered pretty much exactly what I wanted. I was kinda concerned about ordering the Alto Blue at that time but after seeing one in person at the dealership and many pics on here I made the right choice.....I think its an awesome color. Love how it changes hues in different light conditions. I am glad I didn't consider the cyber orange. One came in a couple days ago at the dealership and thats definitely not my cup of tea but to each their own.

And yes, the hindsight of not ordering at least two earlier on last year had I known the market for them was this crazy is a thought.

I have the rear sliding window. Haven't used it yet, but I bought it for the nostalgia of having it since most of the old Fords had the rear window (our '89 F150 had it and we used it all the time. RIP Big Bitch Bertha.) Great for air flow if your AC craps out on you!

we used to use that window to get back in the truck if we locked the keys in! the window detached from the mounding so you could slide the window open even though it was locked. very handy broken thing. you certainly can’t fit a person through the Maverick one tho!

Knowing what I know now, and the hardships of spending $$ on repairs on my exisiting junky vehicle, and experiencing stress not knowing if I made the right decision, and the fact that I am still waiting on an Oct 5 order, and still waiting for the truck to be built, and basically not feeling like a valued customer when it comes to communication - I would look for a different brand of truck or large hybrid sedan. This might be my second Ford if I get built/delivered before the end of July. Otherwise, I will walk and list all of the accessories I have prepurchased as a bundle on eBay.
