Just got in my xlt fx4 (ordered 11/11) today and I am truly blown away by the power of this tiny engine. At first I was disappointed the fx4 package replaced the sport mode option but I honestly don’t think I could handle that. (Tons of deer and moose where I live.) I can’t speak for the hybrid but I am very satisfied with the power output.

Yea removing sport mode makes no lick of sense. Glad to hear the engine has a lot of pep though! It's what I want in mine. Not a slug but a true powerhouse that is efficient enough for daily use.

Sport mode is extremely easy to add back in with Forsan along with ECO. Its a hoot. The little truck is peppy and fun to drive. I've been enjoying mine.

Sport mode on the highway will lay some tracks! No disappointments there!

Most of my driving is city miles (what I call "dog miles") because I commute every day and go home at lunch - 10 miles each way - to let my rat terrier out. Yeah, it's adding extra miles but my little dog is totally worth it. She has free run of the house and she's not crated during the day.

Lucky little dog to have a good owner! I commute a mountain pass every morning and the power really helps pull me up hill

Wonder how many previous to this 11/11 order for possibly this exact same [XLT FX4] build were skipped over? In the future, customers will want to know exactly where they really stand in line, and the first company to actually do that will win a lot of business. F I F O apparently isn't being explicitly used like was recently claimed AFAWK! To many claimed possible minor "constraints" can be used to cover actuality, and Ford and others never counted on its wide spread out customers would be able to communicate their order date and build knowledge and final delivery time, [not to mention ADMs] formerly kept secret! Hopefully the future will be better!

Betting mine has just as much power even though there are no moose here.

What Champ said! (Though I am a January order. Feel free to build my truck any time.)

The hybrid is no slouch. Got on it today to get through one of the merge lanes problems and it did a decent head-snap. Won't be taking it to the drag strip, but it's got plenty of power.

If delivered April 20, figure a month or so back for build date. That would be a mid-March scheduled build week, which would have been booked sometime in January, pre-dating the recent FIFO memo.

Not attempting to provide excuses for Ford's process (which has been both inconsistent and haphazard, bordering on abysmal), just sayin' that ascribing blame for veering from the supposed new regimen prior to its announcement is not tenable.

Awesome! I’m glad to hear that. I would have definetly gone hybrid if it offered AWD. I drive tons of dirt roads and through some crazy snow so AWD was a must
