I saw a youtube video on some newer fords have it installed, just not enabled. Thru a series of key turns and break presses could turn it on. Would be interested to know If it works.
Can you provide a link to the video?

I enabled Perimeter Alarm Guard control in the IPC Module. The XLT and Lariat are supposed to have interior sensor motion alarm as part of the Perimeter alarm, per page 85 of the manual.
These do not work on my Lariat, nor have I seen mention of anyone whose truck has this working. Setting the alarm and waving inside the cab with windows down should set off the alarm.

I have started a thread on this, but no one else seems to care that this feature doesn't work. I asked my dealer and they weren't sure, but didn't think the Perimeter Plus addon alarm(shock sensor) was needed for this. They said I'd have to schedule an appointment and let them troubleshoot to see if/ how these sensors operated.

Per the service manual that is the "In vehicle temperature and humidity sensor"

Thanks! First I've seen of this.
Then that probably means the Interior/Inclination sensors are referring to the shock sensor in the additional Perimeter Plus $215 alarm. Not clear in the manual.

Yeah, that is all I can figure as well - there is no mention of any other sensor for motion in the service manual, nor do any of the alarm system tests mention that.

I don't know about you, but owners manuals ain't what they used to be..

The Perimeter Plus module adds Inclination, two-stage shock sensor, and the ability to remote start with the standard key fob. The optional led will alert you of any alarm activity while you were away as well. Half hour install

Bet Ford would sell more of that option if they renamed it....

Isn’t that the truth! I read the online manual back in November and thought it was the worst manual I’ve ever seen. At times it dealt like the rough draft. I’ve never looked at the paper one to see if it changed any.

Absolutely! It is plug and play really, comes with a harness and you unplug the OBD cable from the back of that port, then plug this new harness into the rearof the obd port, plug the previously removed harness into this new one. This has a smaller plug that goes to the new module. No dealer needed. Watch for the 15% off sales, thank I paid 185 and it shipped super fast. Holler if you need the Install guide Info, igot it from another member here, @uh50 , you can find his thread too, loaded with details.

Rough draft is exactly how I felt too!!! It seems to be very non-specific in many areas, like they hadn't settled all the details on the truck when they went to publish

@LC48 You didn't have to enable Perimeter Alarm Guard Control with Forscan so that it shows up on the Vehicle Settings menu?
