I thought it would be a good idea to put the Race Chip GTS on my Eco boost FX4 because it doesn't have eco mode. Seemed like a good idea at the time considering gas prices. Took forever to get the Bluetooth to work correctly and when it did there was zero difference in seat of pants feel. About test run 3 check engine light and service engine soon came on. I immediately disconnected it and reset all of the codes. Hopefully the folks in Germany will let me return it. I'll keep ya posted.

Boot up ForScan and connect the truck, then:

1. Go into Configure and choose the ABS module (text version)
2. Set SDM-ABS to “disabled”
3. Set whatever drive modes you want to have to “enabled”
4. Write and save the changes
5. Turn off car, open and shut the door and restart
6. All 7 modes should now be available in the cluster

Had Eco and Sport in my FX4 for a few months now. Takes 10 min tops with even very beginner ForScan experience.

This really sucks. It was still on my to-do/to buy list.

BTW, maybe you got a defective unit, or something is up?

Lots of seemingly content people with the chip over here in this thread:

Are you able to set any drive mode to default?

Had green, normal and sport on my all my MINIs. Green was anemic and drove me nuts, sport screwed with the steering and I didn't like so I used normal. Mav on normal scoots pretty dam good, so I'll just motor on. I appreciate all of the tips and the FORScan stuff and haven't come across anything I would want. Anyone know if FORScan can enable the audio on a bluetooth connected smartphone? Sorry, wrong place to ask.

You mean like carplay/android auto or just playing music if it is the latter then you play it on your phone and if it doesn't auto play click audio and click the Bluetooth button

If it is the former than you need a wireless adapter from my understanding

Wouldn't step 2 disable ABS?

No. It just turns off the pre packaging of the drive modes (FX4 and non) so you can enable them individually. Zero change in braking behavior and no faults.

No. Haven’t seen anybody find a way to do that so doesn’t seem possible.
