They are scheduling out about 8 weeks in advance.
So, if I receive a build date at the very end of production, say the week of October 17th, 8 weeks previous to that would be August 22nd, after the order banks open for 2023 on August 16th? When do you suppose my dealer or Ford will officially tell me my order can't be built for 22?

We don't have timelines for that yet.

Will we get scheduling dates by email, Dealer & customer?
Dealer can access what orders were scheduled with vin but customers won't receive emails until the order is schedule to day.

They put your order in as a stock order instead of a retail order. Retail orders have a priority code of 10-19, stock orders have a priority code of 20-80. You need to ask them to change the order type to retail and priority code to 10. It will date your order to the last day but at this point your order would be scheduled anyway because Ford won't schedule a stock order ahead of a retail order.
@fordvideoguy , just got pretty good news. My salesman emailed me to tell me my priority code was changed from an 80 to a 19 shortly after the initial paperwork.

Tim @fordvideoguy, more good news you and Long might be interested in. My dealership is Larson Ford in New Jersey. Probably not a big one like yours, more of a medium size place. He told me they have received 14 Mavericks in the past month, both hybrids and gas, of all trim levels. I am taking that as a very good sign that I can still get mine by August. He told me has a list of other 300 people waiting to take a Maverick if someone backs out, but currently at a 100 percent purchase level by orderers. Told me their dealership currently has NO new cars on the lot, nothing even in the showroom ! Crazy times. Really enjoy your Tuesday shows. Have a crazy question for you—instead of completely getting out of car sales, why doesn’t Ford just sell stripped down versions of the Lincolns ?

Ford and Lincoln don't have the same body parts, they may share chassis and some other components but, can just strip down a Lincoln. And what about the Lincoln customers that want Lincoln vehicles?

I meant two versions, like Ford used to do with Mercury. Growing up, we actually at different points the original Ford Maverick and later the Mercury Comet.

I learned about more information pertaining to the April scheduling numbers, types and trends. @fordvideoguy put out some really interesting facts and tips on what to expect this Tuesday during his weekly, Saturday, members only lot walk video.

He also made sense of the scheduling process and reasoned why and how Ford lets people know (or not know) about their trucks.

The Broncos, Explorers and Roush F-150's were very nice. The 2022 colors and trims were very intriguing.

Lastly, the details on the GT were awesome.

What noticeable differences we would see on a 2023 model? If ones' reservation gets rolled into the new year, will there be an option to revise it to possibly add an option that wasn't available before?

Yes if an order gets pushed into 2023 then the order will be amendable to add any options that are new or change any options they have on order if options have changed for those packages.

I was talking about this with my wife last night. My Hybrid lariat lux order wasn't put into the system till 11/1, so while I'm hopeful ill likely see a 23.

My only worry about changing anything if that happens is losing my 2022 price and/or my place in line for a build date.

Any idea how those things might be handled from previous experience?

On the Bronco they price protected all of the 21 orders that got pushed to 22 without any price increases. I would assume they would do the same for Maverick. For this reason if there's a bunch of orders that get pushed they probably won't make a lot of changes for 23 model year.

I'd assume that since they're planning to produce MY22 until 10/21 and then start MY23 on 10/24, it'd be pretty tough to incorporate dramatic changes for MY23 anyway. Hope they listen to you about the split rear seat, though! :)
