Well...you're clearly in the minority.

If order to delivery was 3 months, I'd agree with you. But I'm looking at 11 months. That's too long to hear no news of progress, especially when it's need made clear that many orders won't be fulfilled!
I don't like to stress over things I can't control. I can't control my maverick so I would rather just sit back and wait. I'm not in need of a vehicle so there isn't a rush for me.
I have news on my truck. It will be built when its built. As of this writing that's 6+ months from my order date. Getting tons of emails about not getting my truck is not helpful.

Have you called Ford recently? From what I've seen on these threads most June, July, August orders are starting to get VINs and build dates.

I checked last Friday. My order could be scheduled now, but I think it's a bit unhealthy for both myself and customer service to have weekly calls to update. It might be tempting now that scheduling feels especially close, but it's felt close (almost) all along.

Looking at the whole process, the only meaningful updates would have been independent confirmation that the order validated, that the dealership didn't mess up, and perhaps a list of constrained options to drop.

The real point is that it seems like low-hanging fruit to provide even minimal info through the site rather than trying to balance support calls vs spam filters.

Ford hasn’t been building the maverick for 11 months yet, so it’s impossible for you to have been waiting 11 months for your build. Ford started SLOWLY building in September under the old Allocation process and started ramping up just in time for Christmas, now there are constraints. So you’ve actually been waiting around 5 months But who’s counting.
Who's counting? We're all counting!
Why do you have to split hairs? Obviously I didn't expect to be scheduled before Ford started building. I was also understanding of the time before they got OKTB. That's not the point; I was getting information during that period so I could understand the delays and where I was. The frustrating part was after they were building and I saw identical orders to mine that were confirmed after getting built.

I'm only asking for visibility.

Say what you want, but I have been waiting since July. The only issue is whether I've been in informed waiter or if I've been waiting in the dark.

And I have not been whining the entire time. I've actually been very quiet. But this thread is about the system and I am commenting on my experience with the system.

I'm not sure how to post something here without it being a "reply". Can anyone help with that?
Regardless, Delzona posted these contacts last month. I emailed them being a July order and not expecting anything, but two weeks later someone from their department emailed me directly with my VIN and build date as they said they researched what was holding it up. It was not the typical Thursday that used to go out. Anyways, thanks @Delzona...

I emailed them 2 weeks ago and got a phone call from someone saying they were going to look into it but haven't heard back. Thanks for sharing, maybe there is hope.

My .02. I would like to receive 4 emails.
1, we have your order. It is confirmed.
2, your truck is built.
3, your truck is shipped
4, your truck is ready to pick up.
I don't want any more than that.
Many find waiting more than 8 months after your #1 item, for a #2, just a little constipating! But you doo you!

Hello All Current and Future Maverick Customers
We fully recognize there is a lot of interest and excitement about the Maverick. We are here to answer your questions and be as transparent with you as possible about any confusion in the ordering, scheduling, and production process. Rest-assured, our goal is to build as many Mavericks as we can and satisfy as many new Maverick customers as possible given global supply chain challenges. Thank you for your interest in Maverick and your patience during this process. Our goal is to build as many Mavericks as we can so you can get out there and enjoy the 2022 North American Truck of the Year!
The new email system is a step backwards in my opinion. At least we had Thursdays to look forward to. Been waiting since 7/8/2022 but will continue hoping while waiting, and driving my Bronco Sport. You have some great vehicles!

Mike

Have you called Ford yet about a VIN and build date? I ordered July 21 and they gave me a VIN and 5/2 build date. Assuming you will receive a build date for May and delivery date in June at the earliest since you ordered in July. You will have waited at least 11 months since you ordered your vehicle. I agree with what you are saying and the system cannot be corrected if we don't speak out about it. Fingers crossed you get scheduled asap.

I still wonder if there is any actual method to the madness. I received word via phone call from my Ford dealer after their Tuesday notifications from high up that I have a build date the first part of May. I ordered my blue hybrid w/360 w/hitch on July 27th. I called the Ford/Maverick number and they gave me my VIN number. No emails received. No other notifications of any kind. Kendall Ford in Meridian, ID has been very up front on the whole process(?).
Do you know how to track your vehicle now that you have the vin? Good news btw! https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...pport/what-is-the-status-of-my-vehicle-order/

Yes, I got a VIN via chat. I tried last week when many people posted that they got good news by calling or chatting.
Thanks

I would like to get at least one more. Your Order is delayed but it will be built in the 22 model year.
