Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order"

Yup. Just sat down at work, checked my email, saw that, immediately came here. Bogus, man. I have an XLT AWD Eco on order. I have a tow hitch and luxury package. I imagine its the luxury package, heated steering wheel/seats, auto start thats holding it up. More micro chips needed, I suppose. I live on the east coast and it still gets well below freezing, so I don't want to lose any of that in my next vehicle. Stuck waiting, I guess. I also keep seeing that Ford will be shipping vehicles out without some of the features added anyway? I wonder what features and how bare bones it would be. It all just makes me want to get whatever I can that's available now.

No one has confirmed the Maverick will ship with less features. The vehicles Ford is shipping without chips is the rear temperature control module and optional start/stop module. Customers who opt into to removal of the start stop module gets $50 because it can’t be added later.

I received this email as well. All supply chain issues aside... This is a f%^&*ing slap in the face. An email to inform me of production delays? You have got to be kidding me. Whoever is in charge of customer service at Ford needs to be canned. Communications are needed and wanted. But this is insulting.

I have been a happy Ford owner since the 1970s. I now have a lot of doubt that there are any adults in charge at Ford. Except that there are no vehicles for sale at any brand of auto dealers.

I ordered in August. Now I'm pissed!!!

What would you have preferred they do? You wanted communication and got it. Are you just insulted because you received communication but it wasn’t what you wanted to hear? Your truck isn’t ready for build. At least you know they have your order.

It's kinda wired. It's not requesting, removing "Constraint" accessories to speed up production. Just on going delays to be expected.

The annoying thing is that this is communication without information.
It's clearly an email blast to everyone in the system that gives no insight into where our individual orders might be in the queue.
But of course that's because they don't have an orderly queue.
